On this day, November 8th, in 2002 I officially filed all the legal paperwork to bring First Coast Weddings and Events to life.

It had been a dream for a while, but I took my time putting all the pieces in place. At the time, I could count the number of wedding planners in Northeast Florida on one hand. It was a very different time - the internet and email were still pretty new, cell phones were mostly used for emergencies, and I still had a fax line in my office next to my landline. I even had an ad in the yellow pages!

Things have certainly changed over the years, and most of our young couples don't even know what a fax machine or yellow pages are. But we still love being a part of happy wedding days, and that will never change.

Here are a few reasons I think we have been around for 22 years:

❤️ I have a background in catering sales in the hotel and country club industries. I learned A LOT in my early career not just about events but about networking, staying organized, and communication.

❤️ I love our company's team approach. We've been together so long that we can all walk into a wedding and know what to do without even saying a word. And we're truly a team—I might be the company's owner, but I still love to take on the "assistant" role with weddings, too!

❤️ I pray for (and sometimes with) every one of our couples. I pray that they will have a long and happy marriage, that their wedding will be exactly what they hoped for, and that I will do the best job possible for them.

Thank you to all of our couples who have trusted our team over the past 22 years, and we can't wait to keep sharing amazing wedding days with our couples in the future! And thank you to the amazing team that is First Coast Weddings and Events - you're the best!

Our Story

First Coast Weddings and Events offers wedding planning and management services in Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra Beach, Palm Coast, St. Augustine, and all of Northeast Florida. Since 2002, our team has been a part of over 400 weddings and we’d love for yours to be our next!

Wedding Planning: From selecting the venue to choosing the smallest details, we will guide you through the planning process to make your wedding one of a kind. We will oversee all aspects of the wedding, including selection of wedding professionals, creating a cohesive design, and orchestrating the wedding day. Each of our wedding planning proposals is custom designed to meet your exact needs!

Wedding Management: Sometimes called “Day Of Coordination,” we’ll take over the logistics one month before the wedding, starting with a walk through of the ceremony and/or reception sites with you. We will confirm all contracted services with your team of wedding professionals, and created a detailed wedding day schedule to keep everything on track. In addition to attending the rehearsal, we will be available on the wedding day to oversee all the activities.
