2024 Philadelphia Flower Show- United by Flowers

The best part of the show wasn’t the ribbons, but rather all of the people I met. The flower show is called a “family reunion” and it really felt like I was introduced to a flower family.

I learned new things, met new friends, and I had a fantastic time! I can’t wait for next year!

I love the judging because I love getting critiques and constructive criticism from my peers. It was an honor to win the awards and ribbons, but that wasn’t why I entered the show. I wanted to push myself, to learn, and to grow.

“Galaxy Gateway”- Garden gate. Philadelphia Flower Show 2024. This was the second half of the show. I added a few plants and changed some details.

It is a judged show, although I am just happy to be a small part of such a large show!!! I will post pictures soon and update this list as things are judged.

The Sarah C.Z. Groome Award- To the individual accumulating the greatest number of points in Artistic classes.

Blue and Gold Ribbon of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania- Presented daily to the highest scoring blue ribbon winner scoring 95 points or more in the Backed Pedestal. ( #118 Twists and Turns)

Every year at least one person comes into the shop and asks if they can buy the irises that are growing in front of the shop. My answer is no, but I do know where you can get some…

Behind the shop.… tomorrow only. The shop will not be open, but you can park in the flower shop parking lot. This is not my sale. Please read on…

The flower bed in the alley behind the shop isn’t mine. It is beautiful and immaculately maintained…. not by me!

The lady that maintains it spend a lot of time and energy on it! I am sure that I am not the only one who notices and appreciates her beautiful garden. Btw, she doesn’t live on the block…. she drives to take care of it. (If you have noticed the garden please like and share this)

She divides her plants and has a plant sale once a year. TOMORROW ONLY. Go support her and buy some plants! (My shop won’t be open this isn’t about my shop.)

To be clear: It is the alley behind the shop, not the shop. She sells plants. The isis plants have already bloomed for this year. You plant them now and they bloom in your yard next year.
