For anyone asking or wondering about the trails, unfortunately nothing will change long term.

This isn’t the news we wanted or that we hoped for… but the politics are deeper than our pocketbooks and we have to make some changes long term so we can survive as a business.

We hope you’ll still come and enjoy our beautiful campground and all that Big South Fork and this beautiful area has to offer ❤️

In addition to offering nightly rentals of campsites and cabins, we will be working on rebranding and offering our entire facility for camps, weddings, family reunions, boy/Girl Scouts and more for use of our entire facility.

We’re also working on some retreats - both corporate to full service weekends vacation weekends with excursions at local offerings like horseback riding, yoga, massage and more!

Did you know that many places in Big South Fork NRRA were named by Longhunters in the 1700’s? Station Camp was one such site and served as a base camp (called a station) for hunters to prepare supplies and process deer hides. Join a Ranger for an interesting look into Big South Fork history and the struggles and rewards of the Longhunters on Saturday, December 14th, at 1pm ET at the Station Camp Campground campfire circle.

Attention Pickett State Park Visitors!

As the season transitions, we want to let everyone know that the picnic area restrooms and boat rentals are now closed for the season. The cooler months bring their own kind of beauty to the park, so we encourage you to still come and explore the trails, enjoy the crisp air, and take in the scenery.

Public restrooms will still be open at the Park Visitor Center.
