Georgia Marble Festival
Held during October's first full weekend each year, the city of Jasper and the Marble Valley of Pickens County celebrate the history of Georgia Marble, the mountains, and the Arts.
A full weekend of activities begins with the Marble Festival 5K Run/Walk Road Race Saturday morning. The 5K starts at 8 a.m. followed by the 1 mile Run/Walk at 9 a.m.
To register, visit jasperumc.org. Then, catch the festival parade in beautiful downtown Jasper on Main Street at 10 a.m. Don't miss the guided marble quarry tour for $20 which includes entrance to the festival. Once in the festival enjoy arts, crafts, demonstrations and our FREE kids zone. There will be various sculptors including granite, marble,chainsaw and more. Be sure to try the great food while appreciating a vast array of musical entertainment. We also have an Eggfest Competition! So be sure to get your tickets for this event also.
The Georgia Marble Festival has something for everyone.
Thousands of people experience the rich heritage of the area each year, learning about the marble industry as well as visiting the many treasures of Pickens County.
The festival is located at Lee Newton Park, 500 Veterans Memorial Blvd in Jasper. Free parking and convenient shuttles are available at Ingles and Chattahoochee Technical College.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday. Adult admission is $5; children 6-12 $3; and children 5 and under free.
