It is our mission at ESB Athletics to instruct athletes of all ages in the right fundamental practices of baseball and softball. We feel that, through our instruction, we can give an athlete the opportunity to excel at all levels from little league to college. We strive to teach every student in a personal way so that each session is beneficial to the athlete because every student is different and

every individual learns in a different way. In doing this we have the ability to instruct an athlete in the best possible way we see fit. Through time and effort I am confident that we can get any athlete, with the will to succeed, to be as successful as possible. Just remember, "If you work hard, you can play longer!"

We offer many different packages as well as single individual lessons that range in price.

ESB Athletics will be putting on the first of multiple camps this upcoming year. This will be our back to school camp and will be for players 8u-12u. This is our dude right here and the second year in a row we’ve had a #1 ranked player. It all goes to hard work. Mason works his butt off all the time. He’s consistent, he listens, he’s coachable. His dad is committed to the process and trust us and we love Mason and are so proud of him for his accomplishments but more than anything his work ethic and commitment. Keep on keeping on.

Important update: Over the next couple of weeks, ESB and its affiliations will be restructuring our travel ball towards a new business model. For the past couple of years we have put out a cost effective product that made travel baseball attainable for everyone. Moving forward, we would still love for everyone to play but there has to be a different standard on and off the field. That standard needs to be championship caliber and of the mindset of helping our youth progress in a sport that has fallen off drastically.

Unfortunately, anyone now can create a travel ball team. It’s no longer the cream of the crop. And while we still want to focus on the advancement of every player, it is in our best interest as well as everyone else’s best interest, to make sure that players as well as coaches are evaluated, graded, and placed in the best position and team to be successful.

Moving forward, we would love all of you to come and tryout. To continue to grow and to trust the process. It is still our goal and always has been to help our youth effectively and restructuring our travel ball organization is the first step in doing so.

There will be professional instruction. Structured practices. Mandatory scheduled events. A staff to make sure everything is in place as it needs to be. If we, in the North Jefferson, Walker, and Winston County areas, are going to compete in travel ball realistically it starts right here.

We look forward to hearing from you and to rolling out our new platform within the next 14 days.

ESB Athletics is looking for one more baseball/pitching instructor to add to our growing team.

Are you enthusiastic and energetic? Do you love working with young kids? Then this is the perfect job for you!

Must have a strong baseball/softball background. This position will involve training youth in hitting, pitching, fielding, catching and strength and conditioning.

Availability will be early-late afternoons, 15-20 hours a week. Possibility for more hours and weekend availability.

Was thankful I got to see Coach tonight. I’ve spoken with him but it’s been a few years since I’ve seen him. Thankful for a great mentor and friend and proud to be a part of his tree that has so many branches and great names that he has produced. Going to head to “The Dude” this year to see a game and take Coach to dinner. If you ever get a chance to meet Coach Polk, please do. He is the Legend and a maker of men. There is certainly none other like him!

Tryouts for multiple age groups this coming Sunday. 12u & 13u will tryout at 2:30. This will be a tryout for a high level School Prep Team. If you are wanting to get ready for School ball, these teams are for you. 14u & 15u will tryout at 3:45. This will be a tryout for a college scout team and we are looking for Major level players and high quality baseball players.
