I remember hitch hiking in Europe in the 80’s. Wouldn’t date today.

In 70s, hitchhiking was a common way to get around for those who didn’t have a car or too young to drive. While hitchhiking seems unthinkable today, it once symbolized the freedom and trust that defined the open road in the '70s.

**Cove Road is OPEN 9:35a**

UPDATE - Cove is shut down between Still Hollow and Grandview. The towing company is on the scene, but it is taking both lanes to get the tractor trailer up the hill.

The City of Jasper Police Department - Georgia is on the scene of a tractor trailer stuck on Cove Road in the S curves. A towing company is on their way to help move the truck. One lane remains open and traffic is being flagged through.

Please use caution and travel slowly in this area if coming along Cove Road.
