A little bit of history.
Towne Grill was first purchased by Gloria in 1980’s. It was Originally located on Madison Street across from Madison’s Cafe. Gloria described it as “a little hole in the wall”, she said “And we kept everything the same. Dont have to change great food." Just like Gloria, John has no plans to change a thing.
John Walker has been a resident of Jefferson City for 25 years. John moved to Jefferson City, in 1999 to attend Lincoln University, where he met his wife of 19 years. John has had a passion for cooking since a young age. He started his career in food with Madison’s Café, cooking there for 14 years. You can still find him there helping from time to time. He has catered several events including weddings, homecomings, church events, and private parties. He is excited to continue the legacy of the Towne Grill, where the owners has changed, but the food and especially those pancakes stay the same.
