Be sure to head over to the Home State Bank parking lot today from 11-1pm 💧 or 🌞 for a yummy free will donation lunch from The Cattlemen!! Proceeds go to the ARC! To go meals available!

Rain or shine- we will be serving lunch today from 11-1 in the Home State Bank parking lot! This is a free will donation meal with all proceeds going to the ARC.

We have to-go containers and would be glad to send you back with several meals for your family or place of work.

Besser turned 120 this year and what better way to celebrate than with a big party under a 60' tent!🥳

In 1904, as the cement manufacturing industry was in the early stages of development, Jesse Besser produced one of the first hand-tamp block machines in Alpena, Michigan. As a result, Besser Manufacturing Company was formed and immediately launched into a leadership role within the block making machinery business. This site remains today the Besser world headquarters. A fabulous 50th surprise party 🥳

The 🌽State of Iowa and National Corn Husking Competition🌽 is taking place this weekend at the Indian Creek Historical Society & Museum in Hastings, IA!

What is this you may ask? Well we had to ask the same thing! (We are always learning about new things as we do different events and love to share!)

This competition is a national event that we are told is "pretty much the olympics of corn husking"! Teams are created and pickers will go through a designated line and hand husk as much corn as they can in 20 minutes and put it in a horse pulled wagon. The wagon is weighed at the end of the time but points are deducted if corn is not clean or missed the wagon upon picking.

On top of this being a state and national event they are also celebrating their 100th anniversary of the event! 🥳

Always fun to be a part of such unique events! 🥰

📣Shout out to this girl who is knocking it out of the park!!! After working with her on many projects I am always amazed and walk away so surprised at how easy she makes the process, not to mention her creativity is always on point!
