We had a wedding a few hours away from our home in a different state. It's Saturday night 9/2/2023 at 11:15 PM. A bride to be sends a desperate message through Thumbtack asking for an officiant to do do their wedding on Monday afternoon (labor day) at 12 PM on their farm in Salt Lick, KY. They are new to the area and scheduled their wedding for Labor Day. No churches or professional officiates bother to answer their pleas over the past month. 11:30 PM I (Wes) get up from bed and go to get some cold water. My phone is blinking and I see her frustrated plea. Immediately I send a response telling her we would assist her and asked if we could talk on the phone tomorrow after church. I get a response (sounds like a sigh of relief) and told her not to worry.

Sunday afternoon we speak on the phone and Monica & I promised to rescue them. Monday at 12:45 PM we arrive to find a smiling and grateful Groom & Bride. The rest is history after the proclamation announcing them Husband & Wife. What a wonderful day the Lord made for us!
