For the upcoming Holiday Fine Art and Craft Fair, Studio School will be offering Ceramic Ornament Making as a hands-on activity for attendees!

Participants will have the opportunity to cut out an ornament shape from a slab of clay, smooth it out, and glaze it. After the ornaments are fired, they can either be picked up at the school or mailed for an additional fee.

This activity will be led by Nadia Koltsoon, one of our talented ceramics instructors!

Additionally, Studio School will have a dedicated area inside where studio school instructors and staff will will be showcasing and selling their work.

We can’t wait to see you stop by Sunday, November 17th from 10 AM – 4PM!

🌟Instructor Spotlight: Sondra Rosenberg🌟

We’re so pleased to share a little more about Sondra Rosenberg , an art therapist who be teaching an experimental Connecting With Creativity Workshop for all ages 16+ on Thursday, November 7th from 9:30-11:30am.

✨ Sondra Rosenberg is an artist and art therapist based in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia. She studied visual art at Oberlin College and earned her MA in art therapy at NYU.

🤝Working in a range of media and subject matter, Sondra creates art for both personal expression, private commissions, and in support of organizations that promote social justice and community development.

🖌️ For the past two decades, she has worked as an art therapist, guiding women through a process of accessing and finding visual language for their inner worlds. Her own art practice has been deeply influenced by that approach to creating images.

💭 She is interested in the fixed visual expression of shifting mental and emotional states and the ways in which interiors are revealed through surfaces.

This year’s Faculty Show, Small Works, features smaller-scale works by AAC teachers in our Community Arts gallery. Selected works are no larger than 12 x 12” in size and work to showcase the beauty within the small. Small Works will run concurrently with our Fall Juried Show High in Fiber. A dual opening reception will be held Nov. 8 from 6-8pm.

🎨 Our KIDS’ CORNER is a great opportunity for young “artrepeneurs” to gain experience selling their artwork and have fun meeting other artists. Six lucky vendors will win a scholarship for an AAC art class courtesy of Penn Community Bank.

💖 We're excited to announce our "Connecting With Creativity" Workshop led by art therapist Sondra Rosenberg taking place Thursday, November 7.

Open to everyone from complete beginners to seasoned artists, this workshop is for anyone who longs to reconnect with their creative spirit!

🌟 Bring an open mind and heart to find your way to joyful, authentic creativity in this 2 hour session. Rosenberg will guide participants through a series of drawing exercises to discover modes of creating that feel good as we draw inspiration from the outside world, the inner world, and each another.

✨ We will take an exploratory, experimental approach that focuses more on the experience of making art than the end result. Group members will be encouraged to share and connect as we move through this creative process.
