Abington Art Center Just Imagine. Prior to that, the estate, originally owned by Joshua Francis Fisher, was purchased by Lessing J. Grunsfeld.

Abington Art Center, located in Jenkintown, 20 minutes by rail from the heart of Philadelphia was established in 1939 as the Old York Road Art Guild. In 1965, the Guild's separate elements were brought together as the non-profit entity Abington Art Center, which has resided in Alverthorpe Manor since it was donated to Abington Township in 1969. Rosenwald, son of Julius Rosenwald, the part-owner an

d CEO of Sears, Roebuck and Company. In 1939, he razed the old house to build the current art-deco-inspired, 52-room mansion designed by Ernest A. The Art Center’s Studio School wing of this unique building once housed Rosenwald's enormous collection of over 2,600 rare books and 24,000 prints, drawings, and manuscripts, which was donated to the Library of Congress and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Our rich history provides inspiration for AAC's mission to further arts and culture.

We’re excited to announce the opening of applications for our 2025 Holiday Art and Fine Craft Fair! Whether you're an artist or food vendor, we’d love to have you join us for a day of art, food, and community.

We’re rocking on into our next Concert Series tonight! This time around experience the sounds of award-winning folk rock band STELLA RUZE + CAITLYN DEVINEY, an independent singer/songwriter.

✨ Two Important Things of Note ✨

🎟 We’re raffling off two (!) tickets for Iron & Wine at the Keswick on 7/24! How to enter? Come to our 7/10 and 7/17 concert series performances. Raffle tickets will only be available for purchase in person. Be the lucy person to exprience Iron & Wine distinctly cinematic songs AND enjoy a summer night of dancing under the stars.

🚗 Shuttle Parking WILL NOT be available on Thursday, July 10th. All guests who park at the Acme will need to walk to the venue. Auxiliary Parking is still available at the Triangle Lot at Meetinghouse Rd. and Greenwood Ave.

Ripples is a wonderful display of the watercolor medium. From the amount of detail she captures within her still lifes, to the textures and surfaces she is able to accurately convey, these paintings are not only a marvel to look at, but also evidence of Tuliszewski’s mastery of watercolor medium.

Here we are at The Ways ahead of our summer concert launch! Thank you to The Ways team for hosting a Dine & Donate. By sharing a meal and drinks together as a community, we raised $300 in support of our annual summer concerts.

Our Summer Concert Series is off this week for the Fourth of July, but we'll be getting right back into it next Thursday with Stella Ruze + Caitlyn Deviney!

White Oak/Pine” is one of Verratti’s many hyperrealistic relief sculptures, made from wax and painted to look life-like. His work captures the things we see everyday that often go unnoticed. Through careful observation, Verratti is not only able to replicate these objects exact to life, but he is also able to elevate these objects as works of fine art. This allows audiences to appreciate the intricate details that surround us. Come see it in person!
