One of the many great things about doing wedding photography, is watching my small business grow through word of mouth. I cannot be more grateful for all who have supported my creative business, and spread the word. This is one of those lucky times that I got to photograph a wedding of my childhood friend’s family (of her brother, and now sister-in-law), and it really feels like working with friends.

Historic places are my favorite photo inspiration! 📸
There is a Greek-style amphitheater in New Jersey… who would have known it! The theater was built in 1932 on the College of Saint Elizabeth campus. I usually don’t post from the same wedding twice, but Kat and Jeff really found the coolest spots for their wedding! Their ceremony was held at the Catholic Church on campus, and their reception was at The Newark Museum of Art. What a fun-packed day of exploring new places for wedding photography for me!

What an incredible wedding venue! The Newark Museum of Art is such a unique and elegant space. The 1st floor galleries were open for viewing, and we captured some portraits in the ancient Roman and Egyptian galleries, and in the curated garden area.

“Love don’t come easy”… Until then, suddenly, it does.
Right after a proposal, I always give the couple 10-15 minutes of “real together” time before fully introducing myself and moving into taking portraits. I capture the moment of the proposal with a telephoto lens (long lens) so I don’t interfere. I’ve come to see that it is one of the most joyous moments in someone’s life, and that is what I want the focus to be… to be authentic… and really really happy. 🥰

A few ethereal bridal portraits because why not! 🌺
When I deliver wedding galleries, you can expect to see all your images in rich and natural color, but it’s really fun to play around with black and white for select photos when printing or posting. A tip: black and white images usually work best for portraits with simple backgrounds (although that’s not a hard rule).

Sarah proposed to Sarah with a message in a DIY crossword puzzle cause they are a “crosswords and chill” kind of couple. I see their joy shining through in these photos… it’s the radiant smiles and their naturalness together that make it clear they can be unapologetically themselves in a pair.
