Did you know you can bring a wilted hydrangea back to life?? Here’s a secret trick!!

1 - Get some “Alum”, usually sold in the spice or canning aisle at the grocery store.

2 - Give your wilted hydrangea a fresh stem cut and immediately dip into the alum. You may want to put a little in a small dish or baggie so that the whole jar doesn’t get crunchy over time.

3 - Put stem in room temperature water and go back and check on it in about 6 hours (or overnight).

Extra Tip - every time you cut a hydrangea stem you should do this to prolong the life. And if they’ve been out of water since they were cut or purchased, just make another quick cut, dip, and add water. I works 99% of the time!!!

So as those hydrangeas start blooming this summer, remember this and let me know how it works!
