When your sweet neighbors become dear friends and ask you to photograph their beautiful wedding you only ask, WHERE and WHEN... Cindy and David and their beloved fur baby Beau celebrated their magical day at the beautiful surrounded by wonderful family, friends, neighbors and the enchanting Watauga River with it's alluring beauty and oh yeah, the magical Fog!! Their day was truly SO VERY SPECIAL. Thank you both for asking us to follow your journey. We can't say enough about this beautiful venue and their owners. They are truly the BEST.

Embellished in the heart of horse country just outside of Lexington, Kentucky is the magical town of Paris. In this town resides the legacy of a legend. On a crisp frosty morn on November 11th, (50 years ago to the day when Secretariat arrived at Claiborne Farm to begin his stallion career) the legend was celebrated and remembered with an amazing park dedicated to his memory.
Two gifted artists Jocelyn Russell - Secretariat Monuments Jaime Claire Corum along with a dedicated park team Secretariat Park Foundation, Inc. Bobby Shiflet and many board members and community along with an entire village created something larger than life and this truly is what the great BIG RED is.
The crisp Kentucky blue sky was colored bright on this special day celebrating Red's 50th anniversary of winning the Triple Crown (still holds all 3 race records) and retirement to Claiborne Farm.
The event included Chris Poynter, Donna Barton Brothers along with the Hancock family and Penny Chenery's daughter Sarah.
Wyatt Ellis drove straight from playing the Grand Ole Opry Nashville, Tenneessee to debut his song he wrote called Red's Run accompanied by Scott Napier
The 3 story beautiful mural and lifelike statue now shine bright in a enchanting park at Secretariat home town Paris-Bourbon County Tourism Commission

Flightline is an American Thoroughbred racehorse who retired undefeated after six starts, including the 2021 Malibu Stakes and the Metropolitan Handicap, Pacific Classic and Breeders' Cup Classic in 2022

Flightline, retired undefeated and absolutely loves the camera and people. What a magnificent creation he is!

Zenyatta, is she the greatest race mare of all time?? Stats say so. 20 races, 19 victories, 1 second. Only mare to win the Breeder's Cup Classic defeating the males and almost won it two years in a row. Zenyatta won her debut in 2007 and continued, undefeated, for 19 consecutive victories. Winning 13 Grade 1 races, she broke the record for number of consecutive Grade 1 victories, then broke the all-time North American record for number of Grade 1 stakes wins by a filly or mare. She has been retired at Lane's End for 10 years as a broodmare. We waited that long to finally meet her. We had the pleasure of photographing her once in her racing career but never got up close to her.
Anticipation burned driving through the heavenly 2300 horse lovers' paradise acres where the frost kissed meadows touched the sky to the back corner of the farm before we came upon her and 2023 War Front filly. She is striking, even out grazing in the pasture. All calm and subdued as if that fire in her had retired.... until she showed us the Queen she truly is as she soared across the meadow with nostrils blowing and a deep inhaling, exhaling breath as she ran directly to the rail where we were waiting. It was in the moment you had no doubt you were in the presence of greatness. It was exhilarating!
She has never been available for the public to meet and getting a chance to meet her was almost the odds of winning the power ball lottery.

13 year young Wyatt was invited by Marty to appear and play at the grand opening of Marty’s historic Ellis Theatre and future home of The Congress of Country Music.
To say Wyatt is an extraordinary talent is a vast understatement.
Bluegrass heritage and royalty flows through his talented fingers and ears!
We are beyond excited to watch you Wyatt and all the wonderful opportunities awaiting you buddy.

So exciting to attend Marty’s Ellis Theatre Grand opening in Philadelphia Mississippi back in early December. The theatre is absolutely stunning and the acoustics are perfect.

MAGICAL....

they truly are majestic, beautifully kind "magical creatures". Their very presence commands emotions of exhilarating joy and pure child like excitement regardless of your age. We experienced it, photographed it and shared it with the thousands that came to see them this week. Even the cold at the Bristol Christmas parade and the rain at the Johnson City Christmas parade could not inhibit the excitement in the air. Here are a few of the images for those that couldn't make it out or for those that would welcome reliving the magical moments. We hope these images convey the magic! We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to have photographed the Clydesdales for Holston Distributing and beyond appreciative for the opportunity to work with Mike and his great team at Holston Distributing. You will see Mike in many of these images working alongside them diligently to share these horses with us.
