Big News! The UC Merced medical education program – striving to help breach the shortage of physicians and other health care professionals in the Central Valley – took a major step forward with a GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY for the new Medical Education Building that is slated for completion in fall 2026.

The 150,000-square-foot structure will serve as home for the university’s San Joaquin Valley PRIME Plus Program (SJV PRIME+), an academic partnership with the San Francisco University of California and its Fresno campus. Turner Construction - Mid-Atlantic

On three floors of classrooms, labs and offices, the new facility will also incorporate UC Merced legacy Public Health and Psychological Sciences faculty and students as well as the Health Sciences Research Institute.

As long as we are talking about keys…we just finished making 300 new ceremonial keys and cases for Las Vegas. Did you know anytime someone visits Vegas and Clark County deems them “famous”, they receive a 🔑 There have been a few designs, sizes and styles over the years!

Our owner Kimberly Morford Baeth ran the marathon in 2013. Today marks the 11th Anniversary of the bombings.

May we remember the innocent lives lost and the many survivors who were injured in a senseless act of terrorism. We also remember their loved ones, whose lives were forever changed that day. And we honor the dedication and heroism of the first responders whose swift actions saved many.

It was an honor to host one of our favorite vendors all the way from 🇨🇳 China, who manufacture our giant building bows, ribbons and a few other items! They also had fun with our giant ✂️ too! It’s a small 🌎 after all!

Take the busiest people you know and ask them to MOVE?! 🤔 Yes, we have GROWN again and moved to a bigger HQ! 😥

Our landlord offered our office & warehouse 1, in Urbandale, to our neighbors as they had longer lease terms and we shared a back garage door -they said they wished one renter to have both spots. 😣 So, we were asked to move out by Sept.1. 😩 We had been there 10 years and in Urbandale since 2006 when we moved from MN. 😭

Although, we didn’t want to leave Urbandale Chamber of Commerce City of Urbandale, Iowa, and flex space is really difficult to find, 10,000++ products later, we are just now starting to get settled in our new location - which is bigger, better lighting and another great place! 💪🏻 📦
(We still own our Grimes warehouse, too).😊

So…Here’s to celebrating an average 32% growth over the last 22 years and 84% growth in 2021! 🎈 🎉 🥂

A key fit for a queen… Queen Bey, that is! 🐝As the ceremonial experts of the world, we were asked to create a key to the city for non-other than Beyoncé!

On Tuesday (August 29), the City of Santa Clara voted to name Beyoncé honorary mayor for the day and presented her with a key to the city. “The city of Santa Clara is excited about Beyonce's upcoming visit to the world-renowned Levi's Stadium,” said Michelle Templeton, a spokesperson for the city of Santa Clara.

The Golden Openings team helped honor the Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities, at North Carolina A&T State University, during his retirement celebration. For this repeat client, we made sure that every detail was accounted for, including 25 pairs of our custom engraved scissors, custom ribbon, and a GIANT custom gold plated key. With an event this grand, he may rethink retirement!
