Lighting the night at the Casimir Cultural Center!

Our Journey

Our journey from the day that the building was purchased in the Fall of 2015 to the moments before the doors opened for the first time on August 29, 2018. In 2012, the Altars and other liturgical furnishings, had been removed. Over 6000 pounds of the brick that once held the Altars and other physical debris were left in their place. We had a, "What did we just do?" moment that day in 2015, but after standing in the space, seeing the light come through the magnificent stained glass and just feeling years of faith, hard work and love, we knew that we had made the right decision to bring this abandoned treasure to life and it was going to become a true labor of love. A great deal of hard work, vision, private investment and faith were and continue to be the driving force in our continued preservation of the Cultural Center. As with all conservation, it is an ongoing process that never finishes, it changes course, needs adaptation and patience. It reflects the journey of life. We are honored to be its owners and stewards. We have a great love and respect for this place and we hope that our work here at the Casimir Cultural Center inspires others
