What You'll Do:
Hiring Process: Recruit, interview alongside management, and help bring on board Spanish-speaking talent for various roles

Job Title: Office Assistant (Event’s Office)
Location: Supply Wagon Rentals, LLC – Johnstown, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Event Manager
Pay: Minimum Wage

Job Overview:

The Event’s Office Assistant is responsible for overseeing the function of the Event’s office, providing continuous support to our event staff and customers. General duties include, but not limited to customer service, typing, answering calls, filing, scheduling/coordinating events and recording financial transactions.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:
High School Diploma with related experience

Skills:
Possess clear communication, both written and verbal, to collaborate in-person, online, and over the phone.
Ability to solve issues as they arise in a professional and timely manner.
Must recognize, retain, and protect confidential information.
Knowledge and experience working with general office equipment (computer, phone, credit card terminal, printer, etc.).
Have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Physical Demands:
Attendance (normal workday, M-F 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (40-hour week)).
The ability to lift at least 15 pounds.

Office Responsibilities:
Create quotes/reservations for events in the rental software system.
Answer phone calls and take messages for the Heavy Equipment Office when needed.
Check mail and distribute to appropriate personnel.
Handle email inquiries and answer questions.
Make sure the office is kept neat, orderly, and clean.
Process end-of-day transactions in Quickbooks.
Assist the event staff with the weekly schedule of events.
Contact customers with their delivery time.
Collect payment from customers (over the phone, in-person, and by mail).
Perform other administrative tasks when required.

Other Functions:
Such other duties as may be assigned by the Event’s Office.
Ability to work in a highly professional manner with co-workers, students, and guests.

Equipment and Tools Assistant Manager
Location: Johnstown, NY
Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory, ensure accurate tracking and maintenance
Rental Operations: Process rental orders, confirm equipment checkout and return
Equipment Maintenance: Perform visual inspections; order parts and arrange repairs
Customer Assistance: Guide customers in selecting appropriate equipment/tools for their project, including demonstrations of usage
Workplace Safety: Maintain organized, clean, and safe rental area
Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and safely handle equipment/tools

Qualifications:
Experience: Basic knowledge of equipment management preferred
Physical Fitness: Able of move/assist customers’ loading equipment and tools
Licensing: Valid New York State Driver’s License; must pass a DOT physical exam

Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of computers and online management systems
Organizational Skills: Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
Problem Solving: Ability to remain composed and solve problems under pressure
Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of mechanics beneficial
Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Compensation and Benefits:
Starting Salary: $15/hour
Performance Bonuses: Based on performance
Training: Comprehensive training on company-specific systems provided
