When your Wagner power painter gets clogged and it's 90+ degrees outside, you use the old tried and true paint brush. Eventually, you realize that Chip and Joanna don't show how the miles of shiplap they have installed gets painted... But now you know why! This is my first experience with shiplap and I'm really hoping it looks great!

Another photo shoot day at Lauren Rose Farm! We have photographers on site admiring this timber frame barn home and venue. Thanks to Oakbridge Timber Framing for creating a lovely timber structure that makes a warm and inviting space.

The roses have started to bloom and they are lovely! Today we see Chicago Peace, Queen Elizabeth, Gemini, and Darcey Bussell blooming as well as our carpet roses on the drive up to the barn.

Unilock (they were the first company to introduce the paving stone to the US in 1972) sent their marketing team to Lauren Rose Farm today to shoot photos and videos for their website and other materials. We were selected due to our amazing hardscape design created by JML Landscape. We had a lot of fun showing the Unilock team the fantastic outdoor space that has been created for our events and visitors to enjoy.

Lauren Rose Farm hosted the Johnstown Chamber of Commerce last night for our first big event in our new timber frame venue. The tasty dinner was provided by Ghost Writer Public House and business members shared information about their services. We celebrated with some champagne (of course!) and the rain cleared away to display a stunning rainbow later in the evening. Thank you to the Johnstown Sportsmen's Club for their assistance in making this community event a success!

The "no mud and never need to mow" grass is being installed in the backyard wedding area. The area will be the perfect setting for your special event. You really have to see it to believe it!

We are now 8 days into the parking project and are about 80% done. It's a race against the rain now to get the dirt moved and grass seeded. I'm not sure what we got ourselves into this time, but thank goodness for Mike and Emily and the tractor!!

What we call "The 1880 Stone" has been installed and it makes for a lovely entrance into the main wedding area. The 1880 stone is literally the signature piece for the whole sandstone wall because it is the stone mason's signature. We have approximately 150 of his stones that came from a building foundation about an hour away and were brought to Lauren Rose Farm to create a dramatic curved pair of retaining walls. Thank you A.R.G. for the hard work creating these blocks back in the year 1880. 144 years old and going strong!

I'm so excited to see how these special roses take shape. Planted in the best dirt - gotta have sand mixed in there - and each has their own handmade sign too. I'm expecting some additional roses from Grace Rose Farm soon.
