An eventful morning here at Showcase for Commerce! Keynote Speaker Congressman Glenn Thompson had very complimentary words for the Johnstown region’s impact on our country’s military at a time of unprecedented threats.

This morning’s press conference highlighted $400 million in contracts awarded to three local companies! Jared Pavic at Kongsberg Protech Systems USA, Bill Polacek of JWF Industries, and Ed Sheehan of Concurrent Technologies Corporation - CTC announced significant recent contracts in support of clients in the Department of Defense.

As congressman Thompson summed it up, this event is called Showcase for Commerce, but it’s not just for show. It’s about outcomes for this community and our warfighters. Congratulations and thanks to all of these companies for their vital work!

The day began with incredibly insightful information from keynote speakers Maj. Gen. Borys Kremenetskyi from the Embassy of Ukraine and Dr. Laura D. Taylor-Kale, Asst. Sec. of Defense for Industrial Base Policy. Both speakers thanked the U.S. industrial base, and the Johnstown area in particular, for playing critical roles. Showcase Chair and Concurrent Technologies Corporation - CTC President & CEO Ed Sheehan hosted the morning’s activities. CTC sponsored the lunch and Bramer Group LLC and Kongsberg Protech Systems USA sponsored the speakers as well as the following panel discussions.
