TRAFFIC ALERT - SANTA SHUFFLE 5K

On Sunday, December 8, the 2024 Joliet Park District Santa Shuffle 5K will be taking place in downtown Joliet and the near west-side, around the Des Plaines River. Please plan for traffic changes and a large amount of pedestrian traffic in the area during this time. Joliet Police personnel will be on site for security & traffic control; please follow all directions given. The race starts & ends at the Renaissance Center, beginning at 9AM, with floating road closures (until last runner passes through) effecting the below roads from ~8:30AM to ~10:30AM.

ROAD CLOSURES/ALTERATIONS:
•Webster St (from Ottawa St to Joliet St; both directions closed)
•Joliet St (from Webster St to Bridge St/Jackson St; both directions closed)
•Bridge St/Jackson St (from Joliet St to Hickory St; both directions closed)
•Hickory St (from Bridge St to Western Ave; both directions closed)
•Hickory St (from Western Ave to Jefferson St; East n/b lane for runners, west n/b lane for vehicles)
•Hickory St (from Jefferson St to Marion St; both directions closed)
•Marion St (from Hickory St to Bluff St; both directions closed)
•Bluff St (from Marion St to Jefferson St; both directions closed)
•Des Plaines St (from Jefferson St to Washington St; both directions closed)
•Washington St (from Des Plaines St to Scott St/Jefferson St; w/b (north) lane for runners, e/b lane for vehicles)
