June 22nd, 2014. This was the day that I fell in love with Dahlias. Just outside of the Sequoia Park Zoo in Eureka, California (Humboldt County), surrounded by towering Coastal Redwoods, there was a beautiful garden packed full of the most gorgeous Dahlias.
An impressively large yellow "dinnerplate" Dahlia just blew our minds. It was as big as Parker and Hailey's heads!
