Dancing Deer Mountain is rich in local and natural history. You can see the 100 year old barn in this photo. The saw mill where old growth timber was milled in the 1930’s is along Jones Creek. The land holds reminders that the native Americans returned here every year to gather Camus root, to hunt and to trade for obsidian with the Native Americans from eastern Oregon.
