A little glimpse into our Steamboat editorial from a few weeks ago - an editorial that perfectly set the tone for our design aesthetic here at Ever Ash Weddings. It’s romantic, it’s organic, & it’s ✨garden-chic✨

Finding your footing as a designer can be tricky at times, especially in this day and age where inspiration seems endless — through a tap on your phone you can scroll hundreds of images and it’s all just a little overwhelming to everyone involved in the planning and design process.

For me, I’ve consistently been drawn to and will always fall back on these things: Nature, curation of color, & soft, impressionist-like patterns. I love layering one or two trendy elements on top of an overall more traditional, artful design. So that’s the tone we’re setting over here!

If you’re in the market for a wedding planner or designer and the above is music to your ears, I’d love to hear from you. 🤍 We primarily serve the sunshine state, the lone star state, & the mountain town of Steamboat Springs, CO, but domestic destinations are welcome!

Weddings are the sum of a million different beautiful moments - moments that led up to that day, and moments that unfold as the day begins. 💫

At the end of the day, we love design and all that that process entails - but what is most important lies within these moments. Moments that may seem like a quick flash of light, a blink of an eye, a rather mundane act of staring out a window but they all make up your wedding day. Looking back on this wedding gallery, I love the way captured these moments. They are moments that can now live on forever in time and bring this couple and their families back to the emotions that they lived through that day. As a planner, I always appreciate these types of photos. It makes me thankful and grateful to have played a role in allowing these moments to happen. 🤍

Important tips for when playing with neutrals!

1. Explore different textures, fabrics, and subtle patterns to introduce to your tablescape to add interest.

2. Make floral a focal point so your guests eyes are drawn there. 🌸

3. Consider the surrounding room - are the walls beige? Maybe you’re in a tent with a blank slate? This way, you ensure your tables don’t blend into the room too much - you’ve invested too much for a dull reception space!

4. Candles change everything! Introducing glass sleeves, ribbed votives, and warm candlelight elevates your neutral palette.

First looks like THIS are the best to witness.🥹 I will always recommend a first look to bride’s from a logistics perspective and from a nerves perspective. Now if you’re totally set on having your soon to be wife/husband see you for the first time down the aisle, that’s ok too, it just requires a little more ✨collaboration✨ with your photographer & planner to ensure we’re able to capture all the shots you want within the dedicated time we have! If you have an exponential list of wedding party shots, and you’re getting married in the winter (I’m looking at you 5:30pm sunset), you may want to reconsider doing a first look or re-prioritizing your desired shots that you want.
