A passion for planning the perfect event! We have always gone above the rest when planning any event whether it be a birthday party or our own weddings, we knew it had to be creative, beautiful and absolutely perfect! When it came time for the planning to begin, we began to reflect on what we had both experienced at many those mediocre, lack luster events. We knew we wanted something better. Our

belief was that all events should be given the same attention, whether it be a birthday or anniversary party to a wedding or other special event. Because of our swanky ideas, attention to details and obsession for perfection, we were determined to create truly unique events that stood out above the rest…and BOY was it hard work! The countless hours of planning, endless amount of spending, trying to figure out where to store it all, not to mention what the heck to do with it all afterwards, quickly became very overwhelming. Decorating the event to make everything perfect took away from what really mattered. Even with intense preparations we would always end up running around mad trying to put on all the finishing touches and making sure everything was PERFECT and were unable to fully enjoy the event we worked so hard to make flawless. Among the all of the chaos, nothing could take away from the numerous compliments and endless praise we continuously received throughout all of our events. It became evident very quickly that this was not just a regular party.. Our mission was complete! As we packed up boxes, blew out candles, and sipped the last bit of champagne; we made a pact that if we could have anything to do with it nobody would ever have to sacrifice their sanity to pull off any type of event and at that moment, Above The Rest Events was born.

Sweet Steve lost his battle to cancer just hours after his beautiful vow renewal with Shelly. For our team, it was a day to witness a heartbreakingly beautiful love story and to lavish love on a couple that truly deserved it. For the attendees, it was a day to celebrate a good man and to say goodbye to a friend, a daddy and a husband. Our hearts go out to Shelly and their sweet kids as they continue to grieve Steve’s loss.
Thank you for the selflessness and generosity of our incredible vendor team. This could have not happened without each and every one of you and we are so lucky to have such a wonderful working relationship and friendship with all of you! We are truly moved 💕

There are many new friends who have recently started following ATRE, so I thought it's about time I say Hello World again.
My name is Lulu and along with my sister Lauren, we are the owners of Above The Rest Events. Alongside us are our amazing associate planners, Alexis and Amanda.

You will more than likely find us wearing black, following our brides around and dodging photos on wedding days. There are a few moments when our photo friends catch a picture of us. And when they do, it looks like this-attentive, calm and prepared for the next item on the timeline. Here we are helping our beautiful bride fluff her train and prepare her for the next shot before we begin the night with their introduction into reception.
I cherish picture moments like this because they don't always happen. We are so thankful for our awesome team of assistants and vendors, because without them I’d be a crazy woman.
We love wedding planning because it's a gift & talent that we would have never dreamed we would have blessed me with. Being a part of orchestrating some of the happiest moments of peoples lives brings us so much joy and will never ever get old.
