We are shocked and saddened to hear the news of the passing of Edna Runner, founder of the Edna W. Runner Tutorial Center and a guiding light in our community. Edna departed this world on Friday, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and tireless service.

Edna was a visionary, a woman of extraordinary passion and commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. She pioneered initiatives that touched the hearts of many, leaving an indelible mark on our community and beyond.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Edna's family, friends, and all who were touched by her extraordinary presence. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her legacy continue to inspire us all.

The family at the Edna W. Runner Tutorial Center is stunned, and our hearts are in deep sorrow with the news that our much-beloved namesake, Edna W. Runner, passed away early this morning.

We are comforted that on her final evening, Edna was surrounded by family, friends, alumni, and staff at the center she loved and built. We are thankful to God that she was full of laughter and was showered with love by hundreds of the people whose lives she has impacted.

Edna was a community trailblazer who believed the children of West Jupiter deserved an opportunity to live the American dream. She created a safe and nurturing environment where they could pursue academic and personal excellence. The center, which bears her name, has changed the lives of thousands in its thirty-eight-year history.

While we are shocked and saddened by this devasting news, we know that it is our responsibility to continue her legacy and make sure that the Edna W. Runner Tutorial Center flourishes and is accessible for generations to come. We love you, Edna, and thank you for all you gave… you’ve changed countless lives for the better.

We will share arrangements when available. For today, please tell the people around you that you love them. No matter what, Edna’s parting words to all of us were always, “I love you.”
