Thank you to all the wonderful families who came out to the mini sessions this Sunday! It was such a treat to see returning families and meet new ones! We managed to get all the weather in one day but more importantly we captured what matters most - the live, joy, and connection in each family. Can’t wait to get these galleries to you!

Let’s be honest: There’s a really practical, deep, emotional Reason #3 that moms especially tend to love mini sessions. As an anonymous client said, “I want to actually be in the photos for once. I’m always taking photos of them with their dad.” Plenty - not all, but plenty - of moms end up being the family documentarians, prioritizing having visual reminders of these growing years. But as they swipe through on their phone, they’re often absent from the visual story, because they were the one holding the camera. As I mentioned, sometimes hearing other people’s reasoning can help you make your own decision. Continuing on with Reason #2 why people love mini sessions: Because it is a ray of genuine joy. When was the last time you felt genuine excitement and overwhelming thrill to click on an emailed link? I’ll let last year’s clients take it from here: “We honestly just love seeing our photos. I am so excited when I get the email that they are ready for viewing and I cannot help but smile the whole time when watching the slideshow.
