I was honored to be asked by one of my lenders; Michigan Women Forward, to do appetizers for their “Happy Hour”, Meet the Honoree’s Event at The The Aroma Labs downtown! I was lucky enough to meet and talk with the beautiful Mrs. Maddie Jordan-Woods (N.A.C.D.), who was a honoree. Hearing how this woman has helped the community really touched my soul, I’m so mad I’m just meeting her! Mrs. Woods and the AMAZING Gwendolyn Ho**er took the time to give me advice and words of encouragement throughout this event while we talked…… Y’ALL ARE SOME AMAZING WOMEN, I needed that! Thanks to Rachel Humphreys and Therese Schneider (Michigan Women Forward) for trusting me with this special event, and for giving me the opportunity to meet so many AMAZING women. I’d like to thank the Mayor of Portage, the wonderful Patricia M. Randall for your words of encouragement and the compliments. Thanks to the WONDERFUL Jihan Ain Young for Portage City Council for all your advice, words of encouragement, and for taking the time to find out a little bit more about me as a person, you’re DEFINITELY the prime candidate for the people! You’ve got my vote! 💯 You didn’t have to extend the offer to help me out at all, but you did, and that means a lot to entrepreneurs like me! Thanks to PNC BANK, Shoutout to the inspiring Tanya Thompson (Owner of Aroma Labs) for sharing your success story and allowing M.W.F. to hold this event in your business; it’s motivating knowing that you endured obstacles as well and you STILL conquered your dreams, you DEFINITELY motivated me to keep pushing no matter what! You also unconsciously confirmed what I’ve been thinking…….
