Do you know the history of The Desenberg building? Our building was originally constructed in 1886 to house the Desenberg Grocery Company. It was designed by famous Chicago architect, Louis Sullivan, making it one of the few Sullivan buildings in Michigan. The building would remain a grocer until the time of WW1. Then, The Desenberg changed hands multiple times until 2023, when construction began to turn it into The Desenberg Wedding & Special Event Venue.

Today, you can still see the fantastic detailing from Sullivan's original design in its timeless facade.
