I felt so crappy and overwhelmed on my wedding day. If I knew wedding coordinators existed then I would have hired one.
I thought my pictures were my most important element. Looking back on my photos all I feel is stress. I don’t feel the happiness or love that the fairy tale stories promise.

This woman is one of the reasons that I created Avail. It all started when one of my closest friends was getting married, and I was one of her bridesmaids. Two weeks before the wedding, I asked her for a timeline and she didn't have one. As a planner at heart, I quickly sprang into action and helped her create a detailed timeline.

During our meetings, I realized that there were so many details that she hadn't even thought of. And when the day of the wedding finally arrived, I stepped in as her day-of coordinator. I kept her calm, happy, and fed, and made sure that the day flowed smoothly.

I remember one wedding day where things didn't go quite as planned. The florist accidentally delivered the wrong flowers, and the catering company had made a mix-up with the seating arrangements. The bride was starting to panic and stress, but I knew that as a day of coordinator, it was my job to handle situations like this with ease and expertise.

First, I contacted the florist to see if we could have the correct flowers delivered as soon as possible. I assured the bride that we would take care of the situation, and in the meantime, I began working on rearranging the seating to ensure that all guests were seated comfortably. I worked quickly and efficiently to make sure that everything was taken care of behind the scenes, so that the bride and groom could enjoy their special day without any additional stress or worry.

Thanks to my quick thinking and expertise in event planning and coordination, the wedding reception went smoothly and seamlessly. The bride and groom were able to create cherished memories with their loved ones that they'll remember for a lifetime. Seeing their smiles and joy made all the hard work and preparation worth it. I was at a wedding a few years ago where everything seemed to be going wrong. The ceremony was delayed, the DJ wasn't playing the right music, and the caterer was running behind schedule. Everyone was getting frustrated and anxious, including the bride and groom.
But because I knew the bride really well I decided to step in and everything changed. I calmly assessed the situation, made some adjustments to the timeline, and communicated with the vendors to get everything back on track. I went above and beyond to make sure that the bride and groom were happy and stress-free.
It’s funny because there’s a running joke between me and my husband about me just leaving it alone… if I see someone struggling and I know I can help, I have to.
This is why we do what we do. We will turn a stressful situation into a perfectly flowing day.

The details matter. It’s hard to execute everything yourself. Honestly, it’s nearly impossible. You either have to be your own day of coordinator OR you get to enjoy your wedding day.
You really can’t have both. That’s why we do what we do.
