Someone asked me for this recipe and I forgot that I recorded all this!
So here’s a staple holiday season recipe that I have on hand all the time. Great for snacking, dressing up your beverages and adding a little sparkle to your charcuterie boards! Make your simple syrup right now and enjoy some sugared cranberries all week!
RECIPE:
Whisk 1 Cup sugar, 1 Cup water and a tablespoon of lemon or lime juice in a sauce pan.
Bring to a boil to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
Coat 1-2 bags of rinsed cranberries in simple syrup and place in airtight container. Refrigerate overnight.
Drain excess syrup and coat generously with granulated sugar.
Refrigerate in air tight container up to two weeks.
Oh hey, took a day off but here’s a promised outtake reel from day two. And some insights at the end of how it actually “performed.” I’ll never get the time or dignity back that I lost on my kitchen floor here. Worth the giggles tho.

Do you think it might be because at all of the offices I’ve worked with, the bosses are women, the managers are women and the people planning team activities are women?! I do!
Team building and staff appreciation are so much more than a box to check on a quarterly plan or a holiday requirement. It’s about building camaraderie and showing your staff that you care about them as people, and that you want to create positive memories and experiences outside of the regular workday.
Fruit baskets and branded yetis are nice, but giggling, creating, and being given the opportunity to do new things is something that will separate an office filled with people who enjoy where they work and one filled with people who roll their eyes at another thoughtless staff appreciation gift.
