The Timid Rabbit is beginning the process of closing. This will take another year, so we are still available to our customers.
We are now open BY APPOINTMENT. This is not difficult. Just give us a call 269-343-7777 and we will give you the times we are available. If you forget to call and come to the shop. If the lights are on, we are probably in the building somewhere. Just call the number on the door, and we will help you. We will be working in the shop a lot if we are not at a convention or show.
ALL of our costumes, props and mascots are for sale. Lots of vintage, historical and character costumes, hats and shoes are still available.
We will soon be opening our downstairs, "Collectibles" shop. This consists of many different collectible items, such as Records, Video Games, C.Ds, 8 track, and DVDs of all genres. Antique tools, signs, Sewing and knitting items, Vintage Jewelry, and lots of just miscellaneous household items.

Check back later for an update on when that is ready to go.

Halloween is right around the corner and if you are looking for GREAT costumes, masks, hats, wigs, make-up, props, or decorations, stop by The Timid Rabbit Magic & Masquerade Shop and our Halloween Shop at 2011 West Main Street - Kalamazoo Michigan 49006. Phone: 269-343-7777.

We at The Timid Rabbit and The Halloween Shop have been supplying to Michigan Halloween fans since 1974 (50 years). One of the product lines that we created is the Two-Part, moving mouth, strap on Halloween masks, of which we have over 100 designs.

The Two-Part Gorilla mask in this video is one of our creations. The attached video shows the mask in action. With these masks you can eat, drink, and smoke, all while wearing the mask. Please stop by and see many of our other creations.

HALLOWEEN is on its way!!!!
The Timid Rabbit is looking for a few short term workers just for the season. October 1st through October 31st. We are open Monday through Saturday from 10 till 9 and Sundays from noon till 5.

We don't expect all those hours. Evenings and Saturdays are the time we need the most. Please call for information 269 343 7777 between noon and six Wednesday through Saturday this month.

A positive personality is necessary and experience in working with people is helpful. We have few rules and are pretty easy to work with and will train .

For any of my friends who are looking for sound or lighting equipment, my son Tony II and his wife Ashley are having a garage and lawn sale this weekend. They have some new and lots of used equipment that they will be selling.

They have lasers, beacon lights, blacklites, speakers, mixers, etcetera. Plus a lot of cool furniture, paintings, toys, and MUCH more.

We are safe after the I-75 open shooter incident just south of London Kentucky.

We were on our way home from the SAM Convention in Arlington Texas. I did a detour so that Laura could get a little R&R in Florida. Then I headed home. As I came over a crest of a hill, I noticed that the traffic was stand still. I slammed on my breaks stopping only a few feet from the stopped traffic. The driver behind me had to veer off the road to avoid hitting our car.

As I pulled to a stop, I noticed what looked like an accident a quarter mile ahead. We sat there for about three hours before being told that it was an active shooter incident and that the shooter had fled into the woods.

I heard that several are dead and more injured. If I had not stopped to get directions a few minutes earlier, Laura and I could have been among the dead and injured. It could easily have been worse for us.

Please send prayers to the families and injured.
