The Kanab Arts Board is hosting the REDDROCKTOBERFEST on the Kanab Center Vermillion Plaza and Pavillion today.
Here is their list of events open to the public.
October 14th, from 10:00 a.m. to evening. We'll start and spend most of the day at the Kanab Center and move to the Jackson Flat Reservoir in the evening.

- First off, we have the 10:00 a.m. deadline for all Chalk Art Festival Entries. All artworks must be done. Only finished artworks will be judged.
- At 10:00 - 10:45 a.m., we have an Eclipse Party hosted by Stellar Vista Observatory
- From 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. – there is Free Cloud Candy from Honey's at Honey's Marketplace (ages 16 below)
- 11:00 a.m. – Red Rock Dance Studio
- 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. – Free wagon rides by Longhorn Hideout from Kanab Center to Honey’s

The Kanab Center and the Kane County Office of Tourism are proud to host the 2022 Grow Chiropractic Find The Spine kickoff event on Monday March 21st. Please join us for a prize balloon drop, tshirt sales, sponsor booths, food, and raffle prizes.
Doors open for the Kanab Center main ballrooms from 5:30 PM to 7 PM with the raffle taking place at 6:45 PM and you must be present to win. Dinner will available while supplies last. We.love this event as it creates an opportunity to get our residents onto our trails and for families to get some exercise while spending quality time together. The Kanab Center is proud to host the annual 4H Family STEM night on Tuesday Jan 25th from 6 PM to 8PM in the main ballrooms. This event is open to the public and no entry fee required. There will be hands on exploration stations, door prizes and pizza while supplies last. Children must be accompanied by an adult. So come out and join us for a great family event.

Kanab Center nearing reality

While it has taken a long time coming to fruition, the beautiful Kanab Center is nearing completion. The new convention center, located at 20 North 100 East in Kanab, will be an enormous asset to Kanab.
“It’s really coming together,” said enthused Convention Center Coordinator Danielle Ramsay, as she gave a tour last week amid workers putting on the finishing touches.
Kane County Economic Development Special Projects Manager Matt Brown has, along with the Kane County Commission, overseen the project. It is hoped that the convention facility at the center of town will bring in more and larger conventions.
The Kanab Center is a collaboration between Kane County, the Kane School District (who donated the property) and Kanab City.
The architect on the project is Campbell and Associates Architects and the contractor is Steed Construction.
Others who were instrumental on the project include: former Kane County Commissioner Dirk Clayson; Dave Owens and his IT crew for installing the audio and visual components; Craig Hansen from the Kane County Senior Center; Elizabeth Davis and Angie Reidhead from USU Extension/Kane County 4-H.
The banquet, meeting and reception facility offers more than 15,000 square feet of opportunity. The spacious building will be a perfect setting for small or large conventions
The large Willow Ballroom can hold up to 400 people, and will be a perfect location for wedding receptions. A large kitchen, designed by Sego Chef Shon Foster, is located behind the banquet room for meal preparation. Event planners can choose from a wide variety of food options with the Kanab Center’s approved caterers.
The ballroom also will be a great asset for companies wanting to hold professional presentations for up to 750 theater-style seating. It has the capability of being divided into three breakout rooms, has a 161” motorized screen, and a ceiling mounted projector
There are five other boardroom rental options, depending on the event booking needs:
• Pinyon is the smallest room, with 665 square feet which can seat 36 people classroom-style or 95 theater-style.
• Juniper measures 1,838 square feet, and can seat up to 262 theater-style.
• Sage is 1,214 square feet that can seat 172 theater-style.
• Ponderosa can seat 132 theater-style.
• Board Room is 1,020 square feet and seats 145 theater-style, with the potential to be divided into two breakout rooms.
The Center’s original gym doubles as expo space for booths or large displays for conventions and seminars.
Convention or reception attendees can also enjoy the sunshine on nice days. The Center features two outdoor plazas and an outdoor stage for performances.
