With the farm put to bed and a bit more time on my hands, the brain synapses have started clicking again. To say I've been a flower farm zombie since March is not a stretch.

This fount of brain activity is leading to phrases like

"I've got an idea" and

"Wouldn't it be great if...?"

Now, Mr. Flat Rock is a VERY good sport, but I'd like to give him a month off before I really unload my 2025 farm inspirations on him.

So I'm distracting myself with the role of Calendar Uber driver.

Last December I documented our year-in-bloom on a calendar to share with a few close supporters. It was a hit, which was perhaps to be expected as I shared these with 'supporters' as opposed to 'critics'. 😏

Planting in November is a good thing.

Not just an "I-ran-out-of-time-and-now-I'm-scrambling" thing.

Actually it can be both, which works out brilliantly for procrastinational flower farmers.

Perennials LOVE a fall planting. And now with all our Peony and Baptisia babies tucked in, I'm breathing a sigh of relief.

Time for a nap, flower friends!

I don’t think it’s any coincidence that God wraps us in the warmest colors as Fall approaches.

We’re huddling up to plan and prepare for next years blooms, so no market stand for us for the remaining Saturdays.

Swanson the Golden rolled out the doggy welcome mat for our out-of-state family visitors in true Kankakee style. ♥️ Thanks to choltman32 for giving your dog an awesome Parks n Rec name…he would’ve made Leslie Knope proud!
