In the Fall of 2009, we started making and selling Tacos and other things with Frybread to the public. In November 2009, I started making Tacos at Native American Powwows & Gatherings; and non-Native American Events. Just to name a few events I have served my Native American Tacos:

American Indian Association of Millington Powwow (Millington, TN), JSE Taco Sale Fundraisers (Kanosh, UT), Kanosh Be

nefit Powwow (Fillmore, UT), Fillmore City Carshow & Arts Festival (Fillmore, UT), Red Rock Powwow (Panguitch, UT), Oklahoma State University Powwow (Still Water, OK), Howsden Powwow (Julesburg, CO), Irish Pinch & Punch Festival (Memphis, TN), Arlington Fall BBQ Festival (Arlington, TN) and more. NOTE: The Tacos are most commonly known as Indian Tacos or sometimes 'Navajo' Tacos. Jerald's grandfather, the late Chief McKay Pikyavit, he always told the family that the name 'Indian' was given to the people by mistake by Christopher Columbus. Jerald stuck by this and always referred to himself and his people as NATIVES, thus the name Native American Tacos.
