Ellermania 2024 was AWESOME! Our team fed over 2,000 people in 3 hours and had a blast!!

Thank you so much Rob, Donna, Ava, Taylor and the whole Ellerman team. What a cool opportunity you trusted us with.

An opportunity this big we had to share with as many local businesses as we could of course. 💜

This year’s theme was New Orleans style. It took months to develop the menu but I’m so happy with where we landed. 6 stations of fun food.

Charcuterie- finally got to meet my online fellow cheese friend Kayla with . When I reached out for the crazy request of 500 charcuterie cones I’m sure she thought I was insane. 😂 So glad to have met her and love that she was along for the fun ride.

Po Boys/ Red Beans + Rice- I drive by Mud Bugs everyday. After we found out the theme I thought they would be perfect to partner with for this event. Turns out the husband wife team are amazing- AND boy can they cook. They also probably thought I was insane to ask for 500+ Po boys but they made everything so easy for our team to serve.

And to our Butter team- thank you for showing up and showing out. Robert, Mom and I are so grateful for each and every one of you. 💟💟

We are expanding our grab + go.

We have dabbled the past 2 years in offering some of our items wholesale. For example you can grab our sandwiches and charcuterie boxes every week marketplace. 💕

But.. after a very good convo with our dear friend Jenny on another cool project. She inspired us to spread our wings in this grab + go wholesale world.

Lots of menu planning, making sure we had the correct licenses/permits and contract talks later.. Butter Market was born.

Our menu is almost finalized and can’t wait to share it with you the places we will be. Imagine cooler quick grab food but elevated and fresh. Things you actually want to grab ya know?

So lots of moving pieces right now. But just had to share.

Some yummy food will be in more coolers near you very soon. Eeek!

Happy Fri-yay!!

✨ HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

It is with a heavy heart (+ excitement) that I share the news of our rebrand. Olive + Co is now Butter KC.

Very long story short- another local business has a similar name and they've been in business way longer than we have been. As soon as it got on our radar we made the right (but hard) decision to rebrand.

It also has given us a chance to stop and breathe for a second. Olive made sense in the beginning because charcuterie was all we did. Now that we are truly a full-service catering business a new name feels right.

You might see a new logo and some other cosmetic stuff- but please know NOTHING else is changing.

We are so thankful for each and every one of you who has contributed to our success. We hope you will continue on this new journey with us.

There might be a slight overlap as we transition in the coming days. We appreciate your patience.

We made gallons and gallons of this (+ tomato basil) fresh every week in Nov + Dec for Powell Gardens and I’ve been obsessed with it. Such a wholesome, warm and delish soup. Quick version- - Butter - Shredded carrots - Celery - Garlic + herb seasoning - Parm (my secret 🤫 ingredient) - Rotisserie chicken - Heavy cream -Chicken stock - Egg Noodles - Salt + pepper Bonus! As if I need an excuse to eat more butter right? #butterboards are everywhere right now. We’ve been playing around with them. Today I thought I’d share a super easy one using @kansascitycanningco ‘s 7 pepper jelly! 1. Choose a vessel. ( Your fav charcuterie board, @target dollar bin platter like me or a plate will even do. No judging around here! ) 2. Grab some butter at room temp and start to smear it all over your board. Yes, you can totally do wax paper down first if you want. It’s hard at first but the butter gets easier and easier to spread. Pro tip- if you want to get fancy use a smaller spatula or butter knife to make those perfect waves of butter. (I was more so excited about eating it and didn’t need the fanciness today.) 3. Take a few dollops of pepper jelly. (Obviously you know our fav brand 😂) Spread it around until you have a even layer. 4. Garnish with some salt and chives. (Optional) 5. Grab some crackers or bread and share with those you love. Or maybe just you + the board binge watching 90 day fiancé. Again, judgment free zone. 😂 That’s it!
