The Fire House KC - Now Booking!
Housed in the restored Fire Station No. 31, The Fire House KC has been meticulously renovated with tradition and elegance. The Fire House features white subway tile, heightened ceilings, antique crystal chandeliers, floor to ceiling windows on the main floor and Paladian windows on the second floor, vintage plumbing fixture and pristinely refinished original floor.. Throughout the entire space, several preserved accessories and artifacts from the era are showcased, including the original fire pole, and other features retained from the days of the station’s full operation.
Originally built in 1931 as Fire Station No. 31, this station answered the calls of the entire Midtown area. Blending the history of the area with modern infusions, the station now boasts a contemporary, industrial-style interior. Many of the original features remain intact, including the windows and an authentic fire-pole. The main event room offers polished concrete floors and wooden beamed ceilings, with antique chandeliers adding a touch of elegant refinement. The second floor, which once housed the offices and sleeping quarters for one-duty workers, now features deluxe get-ready rooms for the wedding parties to prepare. A private patio and courtyard space are also available, making an ideal area for a cocktail hour or for guests to enjoy a breath of fresh air. Couples who choose to celebrate here can invite up to 150 of their loved ones to enjoy the celebrations in this truly remarkable location.
Newlyweds-to-be can host both ceremonies and receptions at The Fire House and may rent out the entire building or specific rooms. A number of wedding necessities are included, including tables, chairs, barstools, and linens. A kitchen is available for outside catering options, as well as an antique 12-foot bar for beverages. Couples will be provided with on-site security and an attendant to oversee the event. The team can also offer a list of preferred vendors for additional rental options such as furniture. Two separate parking facilities are available to provide guests with easy access to festivities.
