How to add visual interest to your reception space:

1. Vary your centerpieces! Having 2-4 styles of centerpieces is the perfect mix to give your room a POP!

2. Mix up the tables. Having a mixture of round and long tables can add so much depth to the space!

3. Layer it up! Adding layers to your place settings can provide a really luxurious feel!

4. Play with color and texture! Mix up your tablecloths, add a textured napkin, or insert a unique pop of color to give your reception a truly one of a kind look!

“Reagan was our planner for my daughter’s wedding and she was absolutely wonderful! We had a lot of details to be figured out for an outdoor wedding at the grooms parents property. Reagan was there every step of the way helping us with vendors we hadn’t decided on yet and ideas for all kinds of decorations. Really anytime we had a question or worry, she had the answer! I don’t know how many times she said to me “Don’t worry / I’ve got it” or “I can do that for you”. Reagan helped relieve so much stress before in the planning stages and on the wedding day handled everything with such ease and calmness. So appreciated her “chill and can-do” demeanor. Want to know what I see people forget most commonly when wedding planning? Plans for the cake!

- What table will it be displayed on, and are you able to get behind that table to cut it for a photo?
- Do you have a cake knife and server?
- Who is providing the cake stand?
- Who will cut the cake for guests, and where will they put it once cut? Most caterers have a fee for this, and some catering companies don’t cut the cake unless they provide it. Be sure to ask about the specifics!
- Who will provide plates, forks, and napkins for serving? Sometimes this is included in the catering fees, and sometimes you are expected to provide this. Don’t forget to check your contract!
- Are you saving the top tier? If so, who is taking it home?

There are so many logistics when it comes to planning a wedding. Hire a professional so that nothing is missed!

Who should you hire a wedding planner/coordinator for?

1. YOU! You’ve spent so much time and money planning the perfect day to not enjoy it, and you’re not going to enjoy it if you’re worried about every little detail. You don’t want people bugging you with questions all day. Hand over the stress of the day to a professional. Problem solving is our job! You shouldn’t have any worries on your special day!

2. Your friends and family. Do you really want your mom stressing over the flowers instead of getting ready with you? Do you want your wedding party busy with set up instead of taking photos with you (and that photographer you splurged on?) Do you really want to ask them to stay and pack up your decor instead of enjoying that open bar you paid for?

3. Your vendors. Your vendor team will run like a well oiled machine if you’ve got a professional planner in your lineup. We can allow them to each do their job by orchestrating the behind the scenes details so that everyone can be present in their own role and serve you in the best way possible!

What does it mean to work with me? Well, I’ll tell you a little about my values as a business/business owner!

1. Communication - it is SO important to have good communication in anything you do, but as your wedding planner, I am always prioritizing communication with you and your vendors. This means that you’ll always get a timely response from me to keep you in the know!

2. Teamwork - your wedding day is going to go so much smoother if your vendors work as a team! When your entire vendor team works as one cohesive unit to bring your vision to life, it is pure magic! ✨

3. Integrity - I’m always in the business of being honest and transparent with you. I will always recommend vendors to you that I think will be a good fit, not someone who is incentivizing me with a kickback. In fact, if a vendor tries to incentivize me with any kind of financial gain, I’ll kindly ask them to pass along a discount to you instead. It’s my job to earn your trust to ensure a good working relationship as we plan your special day!

“Why,” you ask?

When I got married, I had a wonderful month of coordinator myself - Hannah (who now owns her own flourishing planning company, Bridal Path Weddings & Events,) and I clearly remember my rehearsal night when I handed over all of my wedding day items to her. It was like the weight of the world had been lifted off of my shoulders!

I was able to relax and finally breathe again after months of planning stress. I was able to truly enjoy the rest of the evening with my friends and family knowing that she had everything under control.

The next day, I didn’t worry when hair and makeup ran a touch later than planned. I didn’t stress about who was setting up my decor. I didn’t worry about when/if the cater was arriving. I didn’t even know that my husband had ripped a gaping hole in his pants until her assistant was in the process of sewing it up. I wasn’t concerned with who was cutting the cake or packing up at the end of the night.

You know what I did? I just married my best friend, surrounded by my favorite people, and danced the night away! That’s what I did!

I witnessed such a beautiful act of service from an awesome team that made sure my day went smoothly. I was able to live in the moment and have the best night of my life. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing!

So long story short, that’s my why. I want to serve you on your special day so that you can just be present in the moment without a care in the world, just like I did!

How about another ?

This couple wanted a statement staircase, but they wanted to ensure they were staying within their desired budget. We decided to do this gorgeous compilation of their centerpieces on the stairs for the ceremony, and then we used all of those components on the guest tables! The staircase was still highlighted with my candle rentals and flower petals for the reception. It was a true win-win!

It’s been a while, so it’s time for a reintroduction!

For those of you who already know me, heyyyyy! 👋🏻

If you are new here, or if we haven’t met each other yet, I’m Reagan - your new wedding bestie!

It has been two and a half years since I started Reagan Brown Events - how did that happen so fast?! 🤯 I started this adventure because I find so much joy in celebrating others, and I want to allow you to be fully present in the moment with all of your favorite people because that’s what your wedding day is about - celebrating YOU!

I began my journey into wedding planning in 2016 when I was planning my own wedding. It was definitely an “ah-ha” moment for me because I had been searching for a career that was fun and creative while still allowing me to care for others. Prior to this, I was a nurse for eight years - caring for others is in my blood!

Fast forward to 2019, I began pursing a marketing degree while simultaneously working for a wedding venue on the weekends in addition to my full time nursing job - talk about busy! I fell in love with watching each couple’s vision come to life, and I was picking up every shift I could!

In mid 2020, following all of the Covid craziness, I welcomed my first child and shortly after that I transitioned to working for another local planning company. I got to learn about so many new aspects of the wedding industry, and I developed a love for all of the behind the scenes elements of how the day ACTUALLY comes to life!

In 2021, I graduated with my marketing degree and completed a wedding planning and design certification course. Once that was complete, I felt like the timing was right to finally test the waters solo!

In mid December of 2021, after completing head shots, designing my website, ordering business cards, and all of the other nitty gritty business details, I found out I was pregnant again. 🙈 I almost postponed my January 1st launch, but I decided it was now or never - and I’m so glad I did!

These past two and a half years in business - while also being a full time mom to two young children - have been full of growth, abundant love, incredible joy, many challenges, and a sprinkle of chaos. 🤪 But I wouldn’t change it for the world! 🥰

I just want to thank each and every person here for following me, cheering me on, and supporting my journey in so many ways. And if we haven’t met yet, let’s grab a coffee!
