The feeling when NEW TEAM PHOTOS ARE IN 🥂🥂🥂

I’m in tears looking through these - from Day Zero, I always said I wanted TPTKC to be bigger than myself. Even when I was writing down potential future business names on an orange sticky note at my corporate cubicle, I never once wrote down “Taylor Paige Events.” I wanted this business to be a space where others could thrive & love & showcase their talents alongside me.

And it’s wild to think there are SIXTEEN incredible humans beside me…..LIKE WHAT?! And they are every bit the kind, friendly, talented, genuine, team player, intelligent, loving, funny humans that I dreamed of 😭

I, alone, am not The Perfect Touch KC - and there was intentional thought into not naming this business “Taylor Paige Events.” I knew from Day 1 that this was more than me 😭 It was an absolute honor to accept this award on stage with 3 of my leaders beside me and texting the group chat as fast as we could to share with the others. I am so so so proud of them 🥹

✨Top 3 Things Forgotten On Wedding Timelines✨

This one’s about the small details, y’all!! Sure, having all of the formalities and vendor arrival times on your timeline are important…but what separates a good timeline from an excellent one is the small details. These are the things that make sure not one moment is missed & that the day can run smoothly and efficiently - which means more celebrating for you 👏🏼

✨Attire Changes - this not only includes full outfit changes, but also bustle, veil, shoes, hair change, etc! Do you want your veil in when you first get dressed or only for ceremony? Are you changing shoes before grand entrance or after formal dances? Scheduling these items into the day ensures your planner can seamlessly transition your attire changes without it having to be a day-of decision.
✨Flatlay Photos - when your photographer arrives, they don’t just jump in to taking photos of you…they do details first! We edit a LOT of timelines where couples forget this piece and if forgotten, it can cause a havoc of your timeline right at the start of your day. Most photographers and videographers take 30-45 minutes to complete these photos.
✨Design Photos - just like the flatlay details, you want photos of your design! Ceremony decor, place settings, centerpieces, that stunning staircase installation you dreamed of! These things take time to capture and have to be scheduled in during the day. The majority of our timelines include ceremony details during prelude (guest arrival) as parties are tucked away. Depending on when reception is set, these photos can also take place during prelude or at the end of cocktail hour before guests are enter.

and oh how freaking blessed I am to be surrounded and celebrated by you all 😭

these are the moments I never imagined I’d have in my life - a community who lifts me, a team who dreams with me, couples who feel like real-life friends. All because one day I dreamt of more for my life than a cubicle and thought, “hmmm - I think I could be a good wedding planner” and decided to dive all in on a dream that would one day change my entire life for the better 💗

there’s no other community I’d rather enter this new decade with than with this one - thank you so much for loving me the last four years & celebrating me for all of the pink & sparkly & extra that I am. You mean the world to me, you make me better, and you’ve made my wildest dreams come true 🥹

✨MEET OUR GIRL ANNIE✨

Annie is one of our newest team members - you have probably seen her on our stories but this is her very first time ON THE FEED!!! 🙌🏼 Everyone give her a big welcome 🩷🩷

Annie may be new to the TPT team but she is not new to organizing events and managing the chaos. Annie has a background as an event planner and coordinator at Kansas State University - any Wildcats out there?? 💜 And now she is a local kindergarten art teacher - which if you know anything about managing groomsmen on a wedding day, it can sometimes look a lot like wrangling a group of 5 year olds 😅

As our newest Lead Coordinator, Annie brings an incredible talent for organization + logistics, balancing fun and serious moments, clear communication, amazing reassurance and calm, and a creative eye to design! She will make you feel like you’re planning alongside your best friend - a best friend who also takes a LOAD of stress off you too 😘

And fun fact...Annie is in the middle of planning her very own wedding - EEEEKKKK - at White Iron Ridge next summer and we are all so stoked to see her have her own big day!! 👰‍♀️

We are so so lucky to have Annie join TPT and to officially welcome her to our world - let’s celebrate her 🥂🥂

✨THE STORY OF HOW WE SECURED LLAMAS IN 24 HOURS✨

About a month ago I went on my IG stories and explained why wedding planners are kinda like insurance - when something goes unexpectedly wrong, we are the ones who are picking up the pieces to save the vision...often without you ever even knowing.

I mentioned that we had lost a vendor less than 24 hours prior to the wedding day and had to replace them.....well, that vendor was...THE LLAMAS. Not joking. 🦙

I received a call from our Lead Coordinator, Michelle, that the originally booked llamas got sick and the vet said they needed the weekend off.

And one thing about this wedding - the bride WANTED LLAMAS, like NEEDED them. You see, several design details in this wedding were even planned around these llamas - llama cake toppers, llamas on the koozies, a llama selfie station...AND WE DIDN’T HAVE LLAMAS.

See why this is a major problem?

“Call every farmer in the state of Missouri and Kansas!!” Michelle got to work, the hunt was on.

And when the text finally came in: “Llamas secured,” I had a little laugh.

This is my life 😅 Finding llamas - but not just any llama...llamas that fulfilled Cassie’s dream, llamas that upheld her wedding vision, llamas that she’ll remember for the rest of her life.

As wedding planners, our job is to be insurance for your wedding day - protecting your dreams and visions and expectations...and even your llamas 🦙💗

✨MEET ABBY✨

We can’t even describe how lucky we are to have Abby in the wedding community, let alone to be apart of TPT!!! You have probably seen her on our feed over and over again - as one of our amazing Assistant Coordinators and Decorators (she won Best Decorator on our team for 2023!!). 🥂

Abby is the girl that jumps in and says: “How can I help?” She has been known to dive in to help the entire vendor team, wrangle a group of rowdy groomsmen seamlessly, and even hold and calm a crying baby 😅

QUEEN OF ALL TRADES OVER HERE 👸

Abby’s best advice for couples getting married: “Get a planner! Don’t do it alone and don’t be afraid to ask for what you really want!” (PREACH, ABBY!) And her favorite idea to take your reception to the next level - choreographing a dance with your wedding party!

And one last thing to know about Abby - and this is a controversial one - she firmly believes that Jack could have fit on the door in Titanic🚪🚢

✨MEET ALAEYAH✨

Some of you may be thinking - “hmmm, I don’t know if I’ve seen her on wedding days!” But that’s because when the bar closes down and the music fades, our girl Alaeyah is often the one that comes in to pick up the pieces and organize all the end-of-night logistics 👏🏼 She’s blowing out hundreds of candles, packing up your decor & loading it into your uncle’s truck, jumping in to help your vendors load out, making sure your marriage license and your gifts/cards are in a secure spot, and is the burst of energy we all need to end out a successful day!

She is always upbeat and positive - we love her!! One of her team members said: “Alaeyah rocks it every single time!! She is so organized, quick on her feet, and jumps in to help everyone!”

As a recent high school graduate, her favorite part of working with TPTKC is having positive female influences as team members & watching them explore their passions. We are so blessed to have Alaeyah on our team - she’s actually one of our team members who have been with us the longest - and are cheering her on as she enters her newest journey of college 🥂

✨MEET THE TEAM✨ Standing strong at NINETEEN is a wild reality when 4 years ago this was all just a dream, and 2 years ago it was just Me, Myself, and I wearing all the hats. Just - WOW 😭 I always wanted this company to be bigger than myself, to give others opportunities to learn + grow + live out their dreams in this industry. I know I’m the voice you’re reading right now, but this truly isn’t about me - this company is about the amazing humans that have made my dream their own, trusted me to lead them, and have dove head first into serving our couples and community. This team is filled with all kinds of kinds - we have teachers and hairstylists and high school students and corporate managers and healthcare workers and moms and WORLD CHANGERS! This team includes a 58 year old woman - who in our initial interview together said, “You know, I’ve always wanted to be a wedding planner but as I got older I thought I had to let that dream go.” She didn’t give up and now she’s a REAL LIFE WEDDING PLANNER! 👏🏼 We have team members who have been through incredible loss this past year - death, divorce, lost jobs - and on their worst days they continue to pour love into our couple’s best days. We have a team member finishing their master’s degree in social work over the last year, working several jobs to support themselves to pursue his dream of changing the lives of children. We have a team member that has been through incredible health challenges this last year, battling every single day but none of you would know it because they always have a smile on their face.
