- Weather plans, not just a rain plan! 👏 Temperamental spring weather in the Midwest can bring rain showers, wind gusts, and even tornados 😱 Plus the cold days may not be over! *Remember* any temperature below 60°F will feel cold 🥶 No one likes to think of bad weather happening to them, but having a plan that you can be content with on your wedding day, helps put everyone at ease!

- Pops of color! 🎨 No spring wedding is complete without springtime colors. Stand out from the pre-green landscape with magenta, coral, bright blue, and lavender!

- Layers 🧥Sunset photos may get chilly without it! Before your wedding buy something that can be worn over your dress that brings you joy! Personalized jean or leather jackets are a cute way to compliment your wedding dress and stay warm. 😊

“Maddie is seriously the bomb. As someone who had only a 6-month long engagement, with lots of ideas of how I wanted our dream wedding to pan out, I knew that I was going to need a very particular helping hand; thankfully, this girl was just that. Not only are her prices extremely reasonable compared to average market rates for a wedding coordinator, but her overall demeanor makes her a perfect fit for the role. She’s calm, collected, organized, others-focused, readily available whenever you have questions or ideas, your biggest cheerleader, and knows how to roll with the punches. She knew exactly how to balance grace with assertiveness on the day-of, relieving myself and my friends and family members of so many unnecessary responsibilities leading up to and during our wedding day. How has it been almost a MONTH since this beautiful bride became a wife?

I’ll be honest, when I get busy, posting is the dead last thing on my mind! I am currently sitting on so many beautiful pictures (like this one) from some amazing events!
Mackenzie’s husband, Dakota, was showing me this picture and said that it needs to be on the front cover of Brides magazine (totally agree)… so I made you a mockup! 😘

What do high speed winds 💨 local fires 🔥 and rain storms ⛈ have in common? They didn’t crash this party!

On October 23, right as Devon + Raven were about to walk down the aisle nature threw us a curve ball!

After attempting to allow the rain to pass, the guests were eager to move inside. Quickly we prepared to move the ceremony indoors, shifted the tables to create an aisle, and opted for an Oscar styled ceremony. I went upstairs to inform Raven that we weren’t able to have it outside, preparing to console her, but she was unmoved and so peaceful!

Despite everything the day had thrown at us- the bride & groom remained filled with grace, joy, and love!

I am proud to have been a part of Devon & Raven’s wedding day! Praying that you continue to take the good and the bad with grace, gratitude, and love for one another, just as you did on your wedding day! 🤍

Private vows & why they are my favorite ✨

1. Privacy (it’s in the name) 🚪 this might be the last moment alone before you are husband and wife! No photos to smile for or people to greet, so feel free to be yourself!

2. Time to slow down 🐢 wedding days go fast, we know this. This gives you a moment to genuinely reflect on the day and process what you are about to commit to.

3. No pressure 😌 your vows don’t have to be pretty words performed for an audience, just promises from the heart to your best friend. Take the liberty to be real!

Of course this is just my biased opinion 😉 and doesn’t work for every couple or timeline. 🤍
