Niwaki tools reflect a dedication to craftsmanship and tradition. Handmade in small family workshops in Japan. This first line of tools available are to be garden essentials — gloves, secateurs, snips, and blades great for indoor houseplants and flowers or outside for general pruning.

June Bouquets — Our flowers and foliages are a collection of harmonious greens and golds. We are featuring locally grown Fever Few, Apple Mint, Nigella, and Orlaya. As the Peonies fade, we’ve curated specialty Garden Roses, like the ‘Fatima’ Garden Rose, a beautiful neutral rose that fades from cream to a golden center.

The stores are full of these harmonious neutrals, embracing more herb forward greenery that your nose will notice!

Have you ever stopped to smell a freshly budding garden rose? Their lasting fragrance and intricately layered petals are some of the reasons we love them and why we champion for local growers and gardeners to bring roses into their plant collections.

As we grow (pun intended 😉), we continue to prioritize local, organic flowers— including roses! It’s all in an effort to move towards chemical free bouquets, and share the beauty with you, our customers!

When we visited their farm last summer, we were overjoyed to see Twisted Cedar’s rows of garden roses. This week, they delivered some of the first varieties available this season—Moonlight in Paris and Earth Angel. Even the names make us swoon! 🤍

We’re about half way through our process to open this location. Final shelving has been completed, display and work tables have been installed, our floral vanity is plumbed and we’re starting to shift into the next phase of finishes - finishing stains for cabinetry, plaster and paint for pedestals, fixtures for function and handmade tile by .

It takes a lot of moving parts to align for everything to come together and we continue to discern when we’ll be ready to open our doors. At this time, we are still a month (or so) away and we’ll keep you posted when we have our finishing touches completed, our systems in place, store merchandised and staff trained to design, steward and host.

Until then, our hope in sharing the process imagery and videos is to bring you all into the FUN of building something. I am a builder and I’ve been starting to understand that more about myself. I wake up everyday with a drive and curiosity to create and do my best to navigate all that comes with that. Building out a space for hospitality, such as this location, is my sweet spot. I am grateful for the opportunity, soaking it up each day and enjoy sharing it with you all in person and here for those who aren’t able to stop by the store to say hello. I am proud of each of our Verdant locations and it truly brings so much joy to myself and the team at Verdant to continue to create and host you all in them once open.

Thank you for kindness, grace and for those who take time to intentionally cheer us on. It is greatly appreciated and impactful. Hope everyone has a lovely week ahead 🤍
