Sending a big, warm welcome to A+R!

During the open house at Eagles Landing at Lake Olathe yesterday, A’s dad came to me with a few questions. After his questions, I had to ask- Do you have a planner or coordinator you’re working with? Dad responded with -my wife and daughter are trying to manage it all and are starting to realize they might be taking on too much. I knew we had to talk to mom and daughter asap. They made their way over dad introduced us. After a brief discussion about our services, their eyes lit up and so did mine. I’m a sucker for a November wedding.

This past Spring was our first time at this beautiful venue. Their staff was amazing and the space was sooo dreamy!! The way Heather, the venue coordinator thanked us at the end of the night and kept raving about working with us -had us smiling from ear to ear. We’re happy to be coming back for their open house this weekend!

Oh, Annastasia. I am so glad our paths crossed at your sister's wedding a few years ago. The gorgeous, fireball that stayed on the dance floor the longest, and alone for some parts of the night. Hey! It’s me, Rose. Crazy tattooed lady running around on wedding day. Making sure you and your partner are set, vendors are taken care of and tweaking the final touches before you start your first looks(if you’re into that kinda thing) I wanted to share a conversation I had recently.

A groom from our shoot recently asked me if I like what I do. And without a skip of a beat, I answered -I do, 1000% I love every single detail. Every metaphorical fire I extinguish before my couple knows something even happened. The time, the running around, the phone calls, the emails at 1 am. Getting to meet and connect your grandparents, or your crazy aunt and uncle. It is all worth the feeling I get at the end of wedding day when I see you enjoying your day. Family members are thanking me as they leave and friends are stopping me to talk about my work. They see me and it feels damn good to be seen…. He was shocked I was so definite with my response.

So if you see me running around on wedding day sweaty, with a big ol smile just know- it’s real. I freakin love what I’m doing.

It is a true honor and pleasure to be taking this one on! I have known Paige since her older sister and I were in 2nd grade... Let's just say that was a while ago. Seeing her grow up and now finding her prince charming, has been sooo amazing to watch! Being chosen to be part of their day means so much to me. It is a pleasure and honor to welcome Helen and Chris to the CMM family! Helen already had a photographer in mind, and knew a planner was her next step before overwhelming herself with all the to-dos on her own. ( What a smarrrrt woman!)

After an initial meeting over some delicious BBQ, I knew we would be a great fit. They love food, music and are happy being themselves. Their love story, and the fact that they had been in the same friend group without knowing each other for YEARS ... wild. The -who put who on to what music,solidified the connection. To hear the passion, and comfort when Todd talked about Madison and Jake was simply beautiful.
