We are officially in count down for the 25th Dance in the Park! Joining our stage this year is Wylliams Henry Contemporary Dance Company! is a nationally and internationally known premier repertoire dance company founded in 1994 in Kansas City, MO. They'll be featuring the work of principle dancer and company director, Caroline Dahm. Please join us on Saturday, September 7th! We'll be starting the fair at 5:30 PM and performances at 6:30 PM.

The Kansas City Swingsters have been entertaining Kansas City for over 20 years with their fun routines, freestyle dancing, and high flying air-steps! is comprised of dancers from all walks of life and they have continued to spread the love of dancing through their performances, classes and workshops. A returning group for this years performance is Grupo Folklorico Izcalli (pronounced “Eez-Cali”)! They are a traditional Mexican dance group with a goal to project the Mexican culture through dance and “vestuario”(traditional wear). They are based in Kansas City, KS! Meet one of the duos of the 2024 DITP stage, Tango Matiz! They say Tango Chooses You, and Kirill and Sophia got lucky when beginning their journey in 2013. Since those initial months, Kirill and Sophia have traveled the US and Europe dancing, learning, and absorbing information. Tango is an incredibly rich cultural experience, often more than just the dance. The music, the culture, the language, the emotion, and the complexity of human interaction all play integral roles in the experience. Today, Kirill and Sophia continue performing and dancing around the US, and teach on a consistent basis at Viva Social Dance in Shawnee, KS. Where are our tap friends and family at?! Because the dance ensemble, Tap Fusion, will be on the 25th DITP stage! Tap Fusion is a competitive and award winning dance group, consisting of adults and teens who love to perform and educate the general public on why tap dance can be so much fun! Leader and main choreographer, Lorna Sherer (former owner of Lorna's Studio of Dance), teaches the group many different types of tap dance so they can gain a better understanding of all aspects of Tap.

Mavka is celebrating its 3 year anniversary and we are so excited for their return to the stage with the 25th Dance in the Park! Mavka has blossomed from a small dance group into a school: teaching Ukrainian dance, language, and art for all ages and levels! Viva Social Dance Studio curates a studio with group classes and a dance team that celebrates Latin dance, focusing on Salsa and Bachata. They curate a space to have fun with friends in a safe ambiance. Viva is located in Shawnee, Kansas.
