During all the talks about getting inflation under control, why are continuing significant price increases on domestic shipping costs never being mentioned or addressed?? With most people shopping online these days, these increases directly affect the price we pay for merchandise. These increases in some cases even affect in-store retail prices as retailers look to recoup the increased loss for their Free Shipping programs they offer.
So the next time you're frustrated with Sam's club as they change their Free Shipping policies or an online seller for their high prices... keep in mind that free shipping in never really free. And it may often cost that retailer half the amount you paid - or more, just to cover the cost of shipping (especially when shipping a single item).
