Why Diastole? Solely because it may serve as a gathering place for people. Its purpose has no defined program, no end point, no agenda. E.

It has no politics and no bias. Except the bias of believing in people coming together, thinking, talking, reasoning, planning. It was built to be a happy, provocative, stimulating meeting place, a place of goodwill and shared endeavor. Hopefully, it will never be a neutral building but one that encourages people to say “Why not?”

Housekeeper for event space/museum/library (Hospital Hill area)

Looking for a detailed, conscientious contract housekeeper for 20 hours per week. We are a local non-profit located in a large, beautiful contemporary space that was formerly the home of E. Grey Dimond, founder of the UMKC School of Medicine. Candidate must be reliable and able to perform quick cleaning turnarounds. We also have three apartments for visiting international scholars and physicians which would be included as part of the cleaning responsibilities. This job has a million details, and is not your average cleaning job. You will be working in a lovely space, rich with history and art! Three references are required.
