VETERANS DAY - THURSDAY, NOV. 11 - We're honoring all Veterans while giving support to one local veteran with our Pints With A Purpose event.

The KC Irish Center is proud to partner with our local music community in sponsoring this special Pints with a Purpose, a fundraiser in support of James Carter and an effort to bring the battle of mental health issues that our veterans face to the public's attention. Proceeds from all ticket sales will help fund James' ongoing treatments for severe depression and anxiety.

Musical performances will include David Luther, Sam Wells, Alisa Jefferson, Nicki White, and Timbers Band. Our wee pub will be open to purchase your favorite Irish beverages. Please join us!

VETERANS DAY - THURSDAY, NOV. 11 - We're honoring all Veterans while giving support to one local veteran with our Pints With A Purpose event.

People have been so supportive of our Pints on the Patio events, helping raise funds to support the Center as we cope with the financial repercussions of the pandemic. But this time we're turning the tables and asking you to help us raise funds for a local Marine veteran who could use some support in his mental health battle.

As a 12-year US Marine Corps veteran, helping meet the needs of others has been at the core of James Carter's work, both in and out of the military service. As the founder of You Found Music, he provides a platform to promote and support independent artists and bands across all genres of music. His efforts have helped countless musicians launch careers throughout the country and most specifically in our community of Kansas City.

But due to an ongoing struggle, James now needs our help. FRIDAY, OCT. 29 - We're bringing back a favorite Halloween/Samhain Celebration - Eddie Delahunt's infamous Púca Party!

As many of you will remember, for a number of years one of the "can't miss" Halloween/Samhain celebrations in Kansas City was Eddie Delahunt's annual Púca Party, held in the former Harling's Upstairs. While we may not have the "unique" atmosphere of Harling's (which is probably a good thing), we can certainly bring back the fabulous music by Eddie Delahunt, a variety of Irish beverages, and good times with friends.

Calling all amateur boxing enthusiasts! KC Irish Center and KC Golden Gloves are teaming up to bring you an evening of amateur boxing in Drexel Hall.

Did you know boxing is the most successful Olympic sport in Ireland? It also enjoys tremendous popularity, as it is seen as a competition, not a fight, as well as a welcoming and inclusive sport. It is in that same spirit we are excited to partner with Kansas City Golden Gloves to present an evening of amateur boxing at the Kansas City Irish Center on Saturday, September 18th.

The evening will showcase some of the area's best amateur boxers, including peewee, women, and men's novice divisions. Our own Micheal Mahoney will be Ring Announcer, and tickets are available for both floor and balcony seating. A very limited number of VIP ringside table seating will also be available. A total of 200 tickets are available for the event. Bars will be open on both levels of the ballroom for drink purchases.

NOTE: The balcony is only accessible via stairs; there is no elevator.
