We are hosting an Arabic-themed wedding photoshoot at The Loretto Event Space on Monday, May 9th. The Arab wedding market is majorly untapped and this would be a great opportunity for vendors to showcase their work and get recognition in the community.

We’re inviting photographers/videographers and other vendors to this photoshoot who want to showcase their skills and products. This romantic photoshoot is for vendors who are looking to expand their portfolio and tap into a new customer base. This will also help you get some amazing content, as it will be one of its kinds.

For this wedding photoshoot, we have a real-life couple and a solo bride—both having Arabic roots/lineage.

Romantic Proposal and Engagement Styled Photoshoot

Styled Elegantly is hosting a surprise proposal and engagement photoshoot with two couples. The first couple will be the one with the surprise proposal, while the second couple will be the engagement couple. The shoot includes pictures inside the hotel as well as some outdoor shots.

Each photographer will have access to shoot both couples in different locations and settings.

Details of the photoshoot include:
- A surprise proposal
- Lit-up marquee letters
- Floral pathway with candles
- Couple dance with live violinists
- A dessert spread near the fireplace
- Shots in the hotel’s garden area
- A beautiful balloon arch
- Outdoor pictures at a location close to the hotel
- Outfit changes for all models
- Champagne toasting

- Golden-hour pictures
- Feedback and Q&A session (complimentary snacks will be provided for all participating photographers)

Our goal is to promote diversity and include couples from different ethnic backgrounds. This means both couples will be unique and you will be able to showcase more diversity in your portfolio.

Meet the second couple for our romantic lifestyle photoshoot on Sunday, March 21st, .

Justine and Whitney met in the summer of 2015 after talking for a couple weeks through online dating. They got engaged in 2017 and married a year later in May 2018, surrounded by friends and family in a lovely ceremony just outside of KC in Amazonia, MO.

They both work in the medical field.
Justine has her graduate degree and works as an Occupational Therapist in a local acute care hospital. She is also a boxing instructor for Title Boxing Club.

Whitney has her graduate degree in certified orthotics and prosthetics. Her passion is making arms and legs for amputees. She is one of the most driven and talented clinicians in the area.

They foster German shepherds for the Missouri German Shepherd Rescue. They enjoy hiking, camping, and traveling the world. Their favorites trips to date were, of course, their honeymoon in The Cook Islands and their first anniversary trip to Paris, Amsterdam, and Munich.
Whitney and Justine are a match made in heaven. As a couple, there’s literally nothing the duo can’t do. They complete all the DIY projects they can get their hands on—Justine with the eye for design and Whitney with the skills to make those projects come to life.

Introducing the first couple for our upcoming romantic lifestyle photoshoot at on Sunday, March 21, 2021.

Beth Wiese and Drake McMillan are a real-life couple and will be part of this photoshoot. They have been together for nine months. They met in 2018 and remained friends until they started dating in July 2020.

Beth is an influencer in its true sense. She is a lady of many talents—she is an engineer, a published model, a world-renowned dancer, the owner of , among many others.

Drake is an all-rounder too. Among his many achievements, he is an entrepreneur, a model, a certified fitness trainer and a biker in his free time.

We are excited that our photographers will be working with this extremely talented couple for this photoshoot.

On this day, we will provide you with two model couples and lots of content. The well-lit hotel suite includes a bed, a chaise and a claw foot bathtub. So get ready and bring all your fun and creative ideas this photoshoot.

Are you wondering what else you need to know about a Hindu wedding ceremony? Here are some of the rituals that are also part of the wedding.

* The couple weds under a mandap, or wedding altar. It is a temporary structure constructed for the purpose of the ceremony. It is made to be on an elevated platform and is decorated with anything from flowers and greenery to fabric and crystals.
* The ceremony begins with a prayer to Ganesha, the god of beginnings and good fortune and the remover of obstacles. Salutations are offered so that Ganesha may pave the way for the couple's married life.
* The couple exchanges floral garlands. The ritual ends with each half of the couple wearing one. The garland or the ‘jai mala’ symbolizes the partners welcoming each other into their families.
* The husband applies a red powder called ‘sindhoor’ to the bride's hair symbolizing her new status as a married woman once the ceremony is complete.

Indian weddings are vibrant, intricately planned, and have culture-rich festivities full of celebration and tradition.
Some facts about Hindu weddings:
* Traditionally, there is no kiss at the end of a Hindu wedding ceremony as a result of the predominantly conservative culture.
* The bride's hands and feet are adorned with henna tattoos. While the designs usually reflect floral and other types of motifs, it's also common to hide her partner's name within the artwork.
* Many Indian beliefs focus on the meaning revealed by the stain of the wedding henna. First one is that the darker the henna stain, the more a mother-in-law will be fond of her daughter-in-law. Others believe that the darker the henna stain, the stronger the marriage or the more the husband will love the wife.
* Usually, an Indian bride will wear a red outfit. According to common belief, the beautiful patterns and the richness of the red color with gold embroidery in her outfit symbolize commitment and fertility. However, many modern brides choose to don a variety of rich, saturated hues from pastel prints to bright and bold blues.

Since time immemorial marriage has been the greatest and most important of all institutions in human society. Marriages in India are between two families, rather than two individuals. The institution of marriage is considered sacred even by those who view it as a civil contract.

We planned this photoshoot to show the sanctity that a marriage holds for the two individuals getting married as well as for their families and for the society as a whole. According to Hindu beliefs, marriage is a union not only for this life, but for all lives to come. The goal of marriage in Hinduism is to foster, not self-interest, but self-restraint and love for the entire family, which keeps the family united and prevents its breakdown.
