Also, might I humbly add, the reason to purchase flowers from a local studio florist, versus a big box store, is the level of design and bloom quality is so much higher. Yes, the price point can be a little bit more, but the quality is just so much more. Just a little food for thought. 🖤

Well hello there! It’s been a minute since so we’ve done introductions, and we wanted to let our newer followers in on some of the people behind Daylight Flora.
We’re Amy and Amyann and we merged our two separate floral businesses 3 years ago. (Between the 2 of us we have about 19 years of experience.) We opened our store front in Kansas City at the beginning of 2023 and while weddings and special events are our comfort zone, we’ve loved stretching and growing into the retail space, (which is something we’re learning more about every day.)
As you can see from our photos we love to laugh and we love to bring our families with us. We are both influenced by our posh grandmothers who excelled in hospitality and design. And we both believe that beauty is a necessity in human flourishing. Amyann is a strong enneagram 7w8 while Amy is a 4 with a hard w3.
Our main differences lie in the seasons. Amyann is a summer girly through and through soaking up all the beach, sunshiny vibes, while Amy prefers the cold dark of winter. Sweaters, candles, roasted meats, etc. etc.

You may or may not have noticed, but we took a little break from Instagram.
2023 has felt like an absolute marathon from new build outs, to new babies, new retail concepts, growing our team and all our phenomenal Spring brides and clients. This year it’s become clear to us that in order to run well, we have got to learn how to rest well. It’s so tempting to do the opposite: to fall into the frantic pace. To buy into that constant hustle mindset. The to-do list never ends. The work is never done. (It’s true, it’s not.)
It’s an intentional, cognitive discipline to stop, set some personal boundaries and admit, “I’m a human being in a finite body and I can’t do it all.” What a relief to know that resting is an integral part to healthy growth.
So that’s what we have been doing these last few weeks. Leaning into the slow and uneventful. Untethering our minds from the endless to-do lists. Restoring our bodies and souls with quality family time and slow living. Filling up our cups in order to have something of value to offer our incredible clients. Thank you for giving us this time.
Also, can we get a little commotion for this sensational image by ? Her styling of the details is always a jaw-drop. and I were watching her hook these shoes onto the wall and we were all laughing at whether she could do it. We’ll, jokes on us cause SHE DID. 💥 💅🏼

We’re super excited to host our first open house in our new space this Saturday, March 25 from 11-4. We’re kicking-off Spring with a store wide 20% sale along with some speciality Grab + Go bouquets! We’ll be joined by some amazing vendors with some really fun offers!
Kristin, owner at , is a licensed esthetician and skin care specialists who is passionate about helping people feel beautiful on the inside and the out. She will be offering complimentary eyebrow waxes! Come and get those eyebrows on fleek for Spring. 💅🏼. She will also have some amazing all-natural skin care products for sale.
will have her vintage bar car set up with some festive frozen beveraginos. Owner Paige has over 27 years of experience and loves turning people into rockstar hosts with her unique mobile bar carts.
We absolutely had to give a shout-out to Keasha, owner, for her help in coordinating vendors for our Grand Opening in February and our Open House this Friday. Along with walking through the logistics and details of throwing an event, Keasha excels at bringing those event designs to life with her informed perspective and years of experience. Keasha is one of our favorite planners and we couldn’t recommend her enough to anyone looking to take their event to the next level!

This is our boy, Arthur Vic and today he is 4! All the things about time flying etc, etc. What we’ve learned about Arthur this year is that though he is, at times, stoic and serious, he also has a smile that lights up a room and pours out of his big, blue eyes. He is thoughtful and kind, protective and tender. (His teacher has said on more than 1 occasion that she wishes she had a class full of Arthurs.) He sings at the top of his lungs until he realizes someone is watching. He’s the king of costumes and accessories. He’s shown us how responsible and independent he is by packing his own lunches, picking out his clothes, getting himself dressed and washing his own fruit. 🍎🍓🍐 I never want to forget how at this age he called ‘hamburgers’ ‘hamgaburgers’ and when he wanted to watch something on tv he would say, “will you turn me on something?” The baby has disappeared, and now we see a passionate, sensitive, dramatic, curious, thoughtful, goofy, careful little boy. Your signal is getting strong, Winks.
