Hiya hiya! It is us, Amy+Amyann (and our ‘Daylight Knights’). We’re showing our faces on Instagram! 2024, amiright? We had the privilege of working with some of the most kind, beautiful brides and clients. Each wedding, it’s genuinely humbling to be invited into such an intimate and sacred day. We’re so thankful for the trust that our brides and vendor partners place in us. As much as we love flowers, we love people more and we’re so thankful for each one of you that have crossed our path in 2024.
For us, this has been a year of learning, resetting and connecting with the present. We’re excited about the beauty that is waiting in 2025.

Also, might I humbly add, the reason to purchase flowers from a local studio florist, versus a big box store, is the level of design and bloom quality is so much higher. Yes, the price point can be a little bit more, but the quality is just so much more. Just a little food for thought. 🖤

Wowzas. Thank you so much to our Kansas City Wedding Vendor buds who took the time to think of us and vote. We know there are so many amazing wedding businesses in KC and it means the world to us that our names would be mentioned in these categories!
2023 has been an incredible year. There have been some amazing highs and also challenges, but as always, the people, the clients, our KC wedding vendor community makes doing what we do truly the best. ✨💫
Looking forward to seeing our KC wedding peeps on the dance floor at this years .kansascity gala!!! Woop-woop!

Well hello there! It’s been a minute since so we’ve done introductions, and we wanted to let our newer followers in on some of the people behind Daylight Flora.
We’re Amy and Amyann and we merged our two separate floral businesses 3 years ago. (Between the 2 of us we have about 19 years of experience.) We opened our store front in Kansas City at the beginning of 2023 and while weddings and special events are our comfort zone, we’ve loved stretching and growing into the retail space, (which is something we’re learning more about every day.)
As you can see from our photos we love to laugh and we love to bring our families with us. We are both influenced by our posh grandmothers who excelled in hospitality and design. And we both believe that beauty is a necessity in human flourishing. Amyann is a strong enneagram 7w8 while Amy is a 4 with a hard w3.
Our main differences lie in the seasons. Amyann is a summer girly through and through soaking up all the beach, sunshiny vibes, while Amy prefers the cold dark of winter. Sweaters, candles, roasted meats, etc. etc.

You may or may not have noticed, but we took a little break from Instagram.
2023 has felt like an absolute marathon from new build outs, to new babies, new retail concepts, growing our team and all our phenomenal Spring brides and clients. This year it’s become clear to us that in order to run well, we have got to learn how to rest well. It’s so tempting to do the opposite: to fall into the frantic pace. To buy into that constant hustle mindset. The to-do list never ends. The work is never done. (It’s true, it’s not.)
It’s an intentional, cognitive discipline to stop, set some personal boundaries and admit, “I’m a human being in a finite body and I can’t do it all.” What a relief to know that resting is an integral part to healthy growth.
So that’s what we have been doing these last few weeks. Leaning into the slow and uneventful. Untethering our minds from the endless to-do lists. Restoring our bodies and souls with quality family time and slow living. Filling up our cups in order to have something of value to offer our incredible clients. Thank you for giving us this time.
Also, can we get a little commotion for this sensational image by ? Her styling of the details is always a jaw-drop. and I were watching her hook these shoes onto the wall and we were all laughing at whether she could do it. We’ll, jokes on us cause SHE DID. 💥 💅🏼
