It’s been awhile since I shared some of my spring work. I took a long vacation and a hiatus from extended periods of time on social media. That is how I recharge. But still, can’t believe I haven’t shared the goodness from Julia and Austin’s wedding from this past June. My passion for storytelling grows with each genuine, kind, and real couple. Julia and Austin thank you for keeping my flame burning bright!

The first image has nothing to do with this post, but it’s a pretty picture of me from my wedding day. A day that even though brought me so much joy because I got to marry the love of my life, in the end it brought me so much pain because it was filled with loved ones that would soon abandon me and put me in the worst downward spiral since my previous long term breakup back in 2019.
I’ve been traveling solo for 5 days now and it has been incredible. I’ll never forget after leaving my partner of 4 years at 26, after hopes and dreams of building a home together had spiraled, I was sitting alone in a train station in the middle of nowhere Spain. I started to have an anxiety attack sitting in what felt like the most aggressive feeling of aloneness I have ever felt. I started reaching out to my ex partner and people that I was once close with the hope and comfort of knowing just one person thinking about me. It was a feeling of massive pain that I am beyond grateful for because it lead me on the start of a genuine self love journey, and it lead me to my husband, my greatest joy.
2 years ago I thought I had this amazing friend group, people I loved as much as I love my own family. I felt safe in knowing that I had a community of people that I thought also considered me family. I would never feel alone ever again, I finally had my people. Then something happened, something that if you were to ask me even I couldn’t explain it.. a misunderstanding? A irrational judge of character? Or maybe just the sparkle of being my friend had worn off. I truly will forever be at a loss. In a matter of actual days I had lost what I thought was my die hard family without even a genuine conversation or ounce of will power to repair what had been ruptured. Again, I was alone and fell deeper and deeper in some of the worse depression I have ever known.
I’m still healing from everything I have experienced. From verbal abuse to malicious acts that made me feel small. I can remember countless times as a child where I was bullied that I held on to without any discussion because I was too scared to create conflict and to show that I was actually hurt. It was so hard to pick favorites from this wedding. It was so my vibe, my energy, my love language, it was all the things. I am beyond late in sharing these previews from Madeline and Robbie’s New Years Eve Wedding. Of course the start of my new year was dealing with an eye infection while also catching an annoying cold. The good part about all of this is having time to really put my whole heart into editing these images. Witnessing Madeline and Robbie on this day was a privilege. I got a first row seat to their intimate story and it’s one of those moments that makes you remember how amazing it is to live.
Also really want to point out that I couldn’t have made it through this day without .lundberg . He truly is the most incredible second shooter. He keeps me going and has my back whenever I need him. My galleries have improved so so much since he became my right hand guy.
