“I never want to miss out on something great, just because it can also be difficult” is THEE moto I’ve lived by for the latter decade. It applies to everything from mermaiding to marriage, motorcycles, motherhood, fitness, learning a new language, business ownership, & even learning how to say no/set boundaries. 🔱For the sake of creating something wonderful, I’m ready and willing to face some challenges. It has a powerful way of shifting my purpose and fueling my drive, when I’m in discomfort. 🌊The beautiful and serene final product we see here is the evidence of the art to being gracefully uncomfortable. I do not recommend open ocean mermaiding after a couple of years off (to birth new life) & having only one functional monofin strap. The element of danger is stressful and distracting. With a couple of other complex elements, I found myself not being able to feel present. It’s been a minute. I felt out of tune. 🙈 Thankfully, the processes of conditioning is something I’m very familiar with. Every day it gets a little better. 🌞Needless to say, it was a beautiful shoot with @_old_man_and_the_sea & my honey! Can’t wait to show you guys some incredible new content! It was amazing to work as a team. & Seeing the outcome of great efforts is definitely motivating. 📸After our shoot, I traded my 🧜🏻♀️ fins for some 🤿 fins and jumped back into the water. Sharks Cove is one of my happy places, my stomping grounds. I’ve swam through all of the fun little caves and pukas I can fit into many times. It felt SO GOOD to be here… & for the first time in over two years, I just played. No GoPro, no obstacle course like run from cave to cave. Just swimming, swaying, & feeling the water all around me/within me. I finally tapped into my flow state. Gratitude overflowed and I felt FREE. This is happiness at its simplest for me. 💖Practicing gratitude and good faith has a profoundly magical way of making challenges fun. 🙌🏽What a ste
