The Kaufman Harvest Fest is held the fourth weekend in October. This annual festival celebrates the community and provides entertainment for visitors and local residents. The parade begins the excitement at 9:00 AM and includes more than 100 entries. There were will family-friendly activities and vendors in Downtown Square from 8:00 a.m. The music festival will be held at the Kaufman Sports Comple

x and feature performances from some of Texas music’s hottest emerging and established artists including Cory Morrow, Joshua Ray Walker, Blue Water Highway, Zac Wilkerson, Holly Tucker, and Christopher Wright. Beer and wine will be available for purchase and food trucks will be available on-site. Concert doors open at 2pm CDT.

The parade will kick off at 9:00 a.m. making its way up S. Washington St. from 175, to the downtown square, and will end at Shannon Park.

Activities on the Square are from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. There are over 100 food and craft vendors, the Kaufman Fresh Market, live music, and local talent performances. From 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., there are also a ton of FREE kid's activities including face painting, balloon artists, airbrush tattoos, carnival games, pony rides, longhorn pictures, a trackless train, touch-a-truck, bounce houses, and more!

Be sure to stick around until 9:30 p.m. for the fireworks show!

The City of Kaufman and the Kaufman Downtown Merchants have partnered together to put on a community-wide scarecrow decorating contest. We are inviting all businesses and residents in and around Kaufman to participate!

To enter the contest, decorate/make a scarecrow, display it in front of your business/home, and then submit a picture of your scarecrow, along with your name and address to [email protected] by October 6th. All entries will be posted on Facebook on October 9th. You can vote on your favorite by liking their photo. Voting will close on October 13th at 5 p.m. The winners will be announced at the Kaufman Harvest Festival on October 14th.

Winners will be selected from three categories, commercial/business, residential, and outside city limits. There will be prizes for the 1st place winners in each category.

Vendor Registration for the 2023 Kaufman Harvest Fest has opened. If you want to join in all the fun, be sure to register soon. The event will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, and vendors will be set up on the Downtown Square from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. We would love to have you join us for the event!

Our Story

The Kaufman Scarecrow Festival is held the fourth Saturday in October. In 2020, it will be held on Saturday, October 24. This annual festival celebrates the community and provides entertainment for visitors and local residents. A parade begins the excitement at 9:00 AM and includes more than 100 entries. Featured entertainment include live bands, street entertainers, and local talent. The Historic Kaufman Square is filled with arts and crafts, retail, demonstrations, local businesses, antiques, games and amusement, and food vendors. Come enjoy the day (8:00 AM - 11:00 PM) with us!!!
