Any door slammer car making runs on this Friday night is eligible for the Full Throttle Friday Street Car QUIK 8. Take as many passes as you want beginning at 5 PM. Turn in your best time slip by 7:30 PM to see if you qualified for the QUIK 8. Pairs will be set by card draw at the tower. First round at 8 PM.

Wisconsin International Raceway Drag Strip's 2024 WIR Ironman Classic was a grueling test of endurance for both racers and crew.

Congratulations to Nickie Keller, Rick Fuller, Randy Schonscheck, Eric Hansen Sr., Braeden Emmer, and Brian Jankuski on their victories.

We thank the respectful fans and racers for choosing to spend their precious free time at the drag strip.

Without the drag strip crew's tireless efforts these events would not be happening. Join us in thanking them and showing them much deserved appreciation. Several hours on their feet in the grueling heat and humidity and they did not waver. These individuals have full time jobs and choose to support the strip as a second gig. Thank them and appreciate them. Without them there is no show.

Thank you to the best crew a racetrack could have. Commitment, passion, selflessness, pride, safety conscious and accuracy are just a few of the qualities this team brings to the table.

This Saturday, July 27th, is the Gertrude's Ice Cream Summer Nationals. Please note the special event night show event schedule.

Gates Open at Noon.
Qualifying Begins at 1 PM.
Race Entries Close at 4 PM.
Racing to follow qualifying.
Opening Ceremonies approx 6 PM.
Jets and QUIK 8 immediately following opening ceremonies.
Fireworks immediately after the races.

All IHRA Summit SuperSeries classes will run at this event and racing is 1/4 mile. Class entry, payout, rules may be referenced at https://wirmotorsports.com/bracket-racing

This event includes WIR's QUIK 8 sponsored by Gertrude's Ice Cream in Fremont Wisconsin. All door cars entered in IHRA Summit SuperSeries competition are welcome to participate. Bring your fastest time slip to the driver's meeting behind the scoring tower immediately following qualifying to see if you qualified. This class is designed to feature the 8 fastest door slammer cars on the property the day of the event. QUIK 8 Qualifiers will be part of opening ceremonies on July 27.

This event also features a Fan Pit Walk at approx 4:30 PM. Please be prepared to highlight your rides and experiences as the fans visit your pits. Candy and hot shot cards are a nice touch as well.

If you choose to camp with us this weekend please note the $20 camping fee and pay at the car and driver gate upon entering the facility.

IHRA-member racers can qualify for the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering in three ways. One way is to win the IHRA Summit SuperSeries championship at their home track. Another way is to win an individual title at one of the IHRA Summit Team Finals.

You can still participate in the IHRA Summit Team Finals without being a member, but you won’t be eligible to qualify for the World Finals.

If you become a member after July 1, the third and only way to qualify for the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals is becoming a winner at an IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Moser Engineering and entering at least two other IHRA events.

IHRA World Champions will be crowned in five different classes — Top (Box), Mod (No Box), Sportsman, Motorcycle and Junior Dragster — at the 2024 IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals.

General Reminders
1. ATM is available at the gate.
2. Long pants and closed toe shoes required.
3. A SNELL approved 2015 or newer helmet is required. Helmet rentals are available for $10 at the Tech Shed.
4. Stay with your car at all times while in the staging lanes.
5. Grudge Matches line up nose to tail in the same lane and signal to the staging lanes director you are matched.
6. Call outs may be made by coming to the tower.
7. Keep air conditioning turned off while in staging lanes and racing.
8. Windows must be rolled up before you stage.
9. 🚨🚨Important tip if you're new to the strip. If your car breaks going down the track safely slow down and pull over to the side. This will help isolate any fluid downs running the entire length of the track. Don't be the one to shut down the fun.🚨🚨
